The use of hybrid renewable energy systems is growing as a viable option for clean power generation, fueled by the increasing demand sustainable sources and need to reduce carbon emissions. The growing uncertainties in power operations due to the integration of renewable generations (RGs) and electric vehicles (EVs) into electricity grids have amplified significance ancillary services (AS). In light this, we introduce a two-stage optimization framework manage competitive energy AS markets at interface transmission system (TS) distribution (DS). Our approach takes account comprehensive set economic, technical, security factors. This mechanism is structured two stages: first stage encompasses market, while second markets. Spinning reserve (SR) supplied by conventional thermal units (TUs), whereas regulation capacity provided storage systems (ESSs), fast-response generators, (EVs), demand response (DR) aggregators. We applied this 30-bus network connected four 10-node DSs utilized GUROBI solver GAMS for solving. simulation results demonstrate that engagement SR market reduces reliance on costly TUs, thereby decreasing costs approximately 10%. Furthermore, involving ESSs, EVs, DR aggregators enhances technical performance 6.91% reduction total costs. provides robust solution evolving challenges posed RGs EVs modern grids.

The current study presents a comprehensive investigation of different energy system configurations for remote village community in India with entirely renewable electricity. Excess electricity generated by the systems has been stored using two types storage options: lithium-ion batteries and green hydrogen production through electrolysers. hybrid (HRES) have sized minimising levelised cost (LCOE). In order to identify best-performing HRES configuration, economic environmental performance indicators analysed multi-criteria decision-making method (MCDM), TOPSIS. Among evaluated configurations, system-1 photovoltaic panel (PV) size 310.24 kW, wind turbine (WT) 690 biogas generator (BG) 100 battery (BAT) 174 kWh, an electrolyser (ELEC) 150 tank (HT) 120 kg, converter (CONV) 106.24 kW found be since it provides highest relative closeness (RC) value (∼0.817) also lowest fuel consumption rate 2.31 kg/kWh. However, system-6 shows amount CO2 (143.97 kg/year) among all studied configurations. Furthermore, detailed technical, economic, analysis conducted on optimal configuration. minimum net present (NPC), LCOE, (COH) 1 estimated $1,960,584, $0.44/kWh, $22.3/kg, respectively.

This study provides a comprehensive evaluation of the techno-economic and environmental performance six hybrid energy systems (HESs) in Kunder Char, Bangladesh, incorporating both conventional (diesel natural gas) renewable sources (solar wind). Using HOMER Pro software, comparative analysis five off-grid one on-grid system are conducted for assessing their cost-effectiveness, efficiencies, impacts under various sensitivity conditions. After thorough has emerged as most economically viable option, with levelized cost (LCOE) $0.0436/kWh net present (NPC) $1.43 million. It also produced minimal waste (0.381 %) but high CO2 emissions. In contrast, PV-Battery setup, though expensive an LCOE $0.266/kWh NPC $3.36 million, offered benefit zero emissions generated 40 % excess electricity. Sensitivity analyses highlighted influence solar radiation (4.45 kWh/m2/day), wind speed (4.81 m/s), fuel price (Diesel: $1/L) on these systems, providing insights into operational dynamics varying economic scenarios. The findings highlight trade-offs between cost, sustainability, efficiency, promoting solutions customized to meet specific needs remote regions like Char. helps understanding potential demands sustainably challenging geographical landscapes.
