Amid the urgent global imperatives concerning climate change and resource preservation, our research delves into critical domains of waste management environmental sustainability within European Union (EU), collecting data from 1990 to 2022. The Method Moments Quantile Regression (MMQR) results reveal a resounding commitment among EU member states diminish their reliance on incineration, which is evident through adopting green technologies environmentally conscious taxation policies, aligning with Union's objectives. However, this transition presents intricate task harmonizing industrial emissions efficient disposal. Tailoring strategies accommodate diverse consumption patterns unique circumstances individual becomes imperative. Cointegrating regressions highlighted long-run relationship selected variables, while Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) Panel-Corrected Standard Errors (PCSE) estimates roughly confirmed MMQR results. ML analyses, conducted two ensemble methods (Gradient Boosting, GB, Extreme Gradient XGBoost) shed light relative importance predictors: in particular, taxation, consumption-based emissions, production-based greatly contribute determining variation combustible renewables waste. This study recommends that countries establish monitoring mechanisms advance technology adoption, enhance accelerate renewable energy transition.

Increasing municipal solid waste (MSW) generation has become not only a major sustainability challenge and considerable financial burden for municipalities across the globe, but also an opportunity to promote circular economy, provided adequate information is made available. Data on MSW generation, characterization, management practices are prerequisites studying optimizing systems (SWMS). However, such data usually dispersed, unsystematized, suffering from various availability quality issues. This study aims assemble provide access current landscape of by establishing comprehensive framework understanding interconnectedness sub-domains knowledge. Existing databases governmental reports were reviewed compile 1720 records composition, practices, socioeconomic contexts 219 countries 410 cities. Multivariate linear regression additive models built relate recovery rates demographics, economic development, climate patterns cities regions. These generate new insights into complex nature SWMS evidence-based decision-making tool future researchers policy makers. Specifically, development (GDP), density factors (population, population density, household size), initiatives, education, regulation all identified as positive drivers toward targets United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12.

Abstract Several developing markets, such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS), are facing challenges in attaining the targets set with regard to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). While previous studies have extensively examined Environmental Kuznets Curve BRICS nations, focusing on other proxy of environmental degradation like CO 2 emissions ecological footprint, little attention has been given Load Capacity (LCC) hypothesis specifically relation emerging economies. Consequently, there exists a gap literature regarding validation LCC for these To bridge this gap, our research intends assess validity context countries. Specifically, we investigate impact biomass energy social globalization load capacity factor (a quality) countries from 1990 2018, while considering roles economic growth natural resources. Additionally, explore development an SDG framework tailored which can serve blueprint analyze data, employ Method Moments‐Quantile‐Regression (MMQR) approach along long‐run estimators. The findings MMQR analysis reveal that resources, globalization, gross domestic product adverse effects quality, exhibits positive influence quality. Furthermore, validates We also observe evidence causality between its determinants. Based investigation, recommend transition policies hydrocarbon sustainable options by implementing innovative approaches technology enhance conversion efficiency. Implementing policy changes will not only quality but align targets.

In this paper, we examine for the first time in literature implications of energy policy alternatives Germany considering aftermath coronavirus as well Electricity and Gas supply shortages. Whilst several options are open to government, choice investment renewable generation versus disinvestment non-renewable such coal provides divergent impacts long term. We utilize data from British Petroleum World Bank Development Indicator database covering 1981 2020 explore a Carbon function by applying battery Autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL), dynamic ARDL Kernel-Based Regularized Least squares approaches. The particular tested is pledge decrease emissions ∼100% 2050, was integrated through estimation estimation. simulation result shows that +61% shock production decreases carbon unlike which increases beginning but thereafter. findings highlight inevitability cutting down on production, recommends alternatives. Hence, Germany's should contemplate more thoroughly these factors.
