Abstract This article presents a comprehensive economy‐wide material flow analysis of the Australian economy in 2019, examining domestic extraction, trade, end‐of‐life flows, and recycling for all materials. The results highlight Australia's role as natural resource supplier, with metals fossil fuels being primary contributors. Through analysis, we found that 2019 Australia extracted 2587 Mt resources, exported substantial fraction (1459 Mt), used 917 to fulfill needs. flows circularity metrics are also explored, an rate 51.1% overall 5.1%. An additional assessment consumption‐based footprint highlights mobility housing dominant material‐using sectors. These contribute understanding consumption patterns, indicating significant reliance on foreign semifinished finished products, provide insights into potential enhancing economic circularity.

In this era of global ecological overshoot, understanding the interplay between circular economy and footprint is vital. This study examines data from EU-23 2010 to 2020 using panel regression methods. It explores long-term relationships types indicators, such as per capita municipal waste generation, recycling rate, investment, circularity trade in recyclable materials. revealed four key findings. 1) All footprints showed negative or minimal growth, except for forest footprints. Positive yet weak elasticities were found factors, rate. 2) The rate displayed negligible total carbon 3) Investment all categories generally positive, but slight, indicating an footprint. 4) footprints, particularly latter. These insights suggest that targeted investments management zero-waste technologies can reduce EU should also diversify beyond energy efficiency, including protecting, restoring, enhancing forests well eco-friendly food systems. Encouraging secondary raw material markets significantly policy implications emphasize investing diversifying balance.

Abstract Waste has emerged as a pressing concern for the environment, primarily stemming from processes of urbanization and industrialization. The substantial volumes waste generated pose serious threat to they spread out harmful substances in soil release methane emissions into atmosphere. To effectively address this issue, study explores impact municipal industrial waste, well waste-related innovation on load capacity factor (LCF) 2005 2020. For purpose, augmented mean group method half panel jackknife causality approach were conducted by using data 17 European countries. empirical findings show that (1) curve (LCC) hypothesis is confirmed; (2) have detrimental effect LCF; (3) management practices no discernible LCF. In light these findings, emphasizes importance efficient countries exploit potential valuable resource rather than cause pollution.

ABSTRACT Extended producer responsibility (EPR) is an obligation for manufacturers to ensure environmentally sound management of their goods, even after they have been sold consumers. Governments frame EPR rules better waste management, and violating these may lead penalties. This study aims understand the intellectual structure define a framework enablers, which can help organizations devise strategies manage obligations effectively. The conducts bibliometric review 749 journal articles published between 2012 2023 using bibliometrix VOSViewer packages. findings identify five knowledge clusters: process drivers; policy legislation; consumer behavior EPR; business models; use technology science. Semi‐structured interviews with industry practitioners discover prioritization among clusters. Researchers take action from more holistic perspective.
