Purpose This study explores the role of human resource management (HRM) practices in advancing sustainable development goals (SDGs) within emerging markets. Specifically, we examine how HRM financial institutions markets India and China promote SDGs 8 (decent work economic growth), 10 (reduced inequalities) 13 (climate action). We also propose a framework integrating these key SDG with core functions. Design/methodology/approach Secondary data analysis was employed using from sustainability reports top five Indian Chinese banks listed Forbes – Global (2000) ranking for 2022–2023. Sustainable Development Goal 7 highlights the importance of affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy. Transition to clean energy is vital for achieving climate action goals. Hydrogen can serve as a carrier, with potential decarbonize industry, transportation, other sectors. As 2021, hydrogen was mainly produced using fossil fuels (grey hydrogen), only about 1 % global output renewable (green hydrogen). Abstract The pursuit of sustainable development goals (SDGs) extends beyond governmental responsibility, demanding active engagement from businesses and managers. This study systematically reviews SDG‐related research within the fields business management to elucidate their roles in advancing this global agenda. ABSTRACT Driven by the escalating interests on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, we investigate impact of internal external mechanisms, specifically board sustainability committee (SC) assurance (EA), banks' ESG performance. This study utilized panel dataset 643 bank‐year observations from 34 Islamic banks (IBs) 77 conventional (CBs) across 12 emerging countries between 2013 2023. Purpose This study aims to investigate the association between chief executive officer (CEO) educational backgrounds in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) climate change disclosure within Indonesian companies. Design/methodology/approach Using data spanning from 2017 2022 all publicly traded companies, uses ordinary least squares with fixed effects robust standard error evaluate proposed hypothesis.
