Price discounting strategies for suboptimal food perform an essential part in reducing waste. This study provides new information empirically estimating discounts levels of apple injury and deformity consistent with United States Department Agriculture definitions using a Discrete Choice Experiment Californian consumers. Latent Class Modelling identifies consumer segments differing preferences deformity, alongside social responsibility environmental claims. While range substantially across segments, negatively influence choices more than equivalent injury. Abstract Diverting food waste from landfills to composting or anaerobic digestion can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enable the recovery of energy in usable forms, and create nutrient‐rich soil amendments. However, many streams are mixed with plastic packaging, raising concerns that waste‐derived composts digestates may inadvertently introduce microplastics into agricultural soils. Amid the escalating environmental crises and economic disparities, Circular Economy (CE) has garnered recognition as a pragmatic mechanism for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In response, several supply chain organisations are integrating CE strategies into their business operations production processes. Despite these developments since introduction of Business Charter by International Chamber Commerce in 1991, academic corpus comprehensively connecting research themes, catalysts, deterrents, practices with SDGs remained limited. To bridge this gap, we present systematic literature review (SLR) operations, management encompassing time span 31 years (January 1991 – June 2022), sourcing, screening, analysing articles obtained from multiple databases. Our thematic coding analysis generated ten subsequently linking them relevant SDGs. Fruit and vegetable wastes are linked to the depletion of natural resources can pose serious health environmental risks (e.g. eutrophication, water soil pollution, GHG emissions) if improperly managed. Current waste management practices often fail recover high-value compounds from fruit wastes. Among emerging valorization methods, utilization as a feedstock for microalgal biorefineries is promising approach achieving net zero sustainable development goals. This due ability microalgae efficiently sequester carbon dioxide through photosynthesis, utilize nutrients in wastewater, grow facilities located on non-arable land, produce several commercially valuable with applications food, biofuels, bioplastics, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, pharmaceutics, various other industries. Mandarin peels (MPs), a food-processing residue, have several restrictions on their disposal and can cause serious environmental pollution. In this study, MP was used to fabricate functional bioelastomer with antioxidant antibacterial activities. Bioactive compounds were recovered from MPs in liquid form added the during fabrication maintain mechanical strength of bioelastomer.
