The development of multifunctional antibacterial materials based on semiconductor has become the focus treatment in field antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Here, for first time, superb photocatalytic/photothermal activity BP/MoS2 and BP/WS2 nanocomposites against both E. coli S. aureus under near-infrared (NIR) or light-emitting diode (LED) illumination was demonstrated. Semiconductor-based photocatalytic reactions are a practical class of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) to address energy scarcity and environmental pollution. By utilizing solar as clean, abundant, renewable source, this process offers numerous advantages, including high efficiency, eco-friendliness, low cost. In review, we present several methods construct various photocatalyst systems with excellent visible light absorption efficient charge carrier separation ability through the optimization materials design reaction conditions.
