Constructing a resilient ecological network (EN) and identifying critical strategic nodes corridors within the EN, stands as pivotal approach toward achieving harmonious equilibrium between regional development conservation. It is imperative to expand perspective encompass holistic resilience of thus safeguarding ecologically that play roles throughout entire network. Therefore, this study takes Nanjing City case establishes comprehensive EN assessment framework based on theory complex theory, grounded in foundation multidimensional indicators. Building upon this, research develops ‘regional simulation - spatial analysis identification’ investigative framework. The results show core structure centered around green spaces, rivers, lakes, similar features has taken shape, encompassing total 39 69 corridors. Examining from six perspectives, connectivity, integration, complexity, centrality, efficiency, substitutability, their integrated assessment, analyzed impact single sequential failures different component spaces overall EN. aimed identify space significantly contributes network's resilience. As result, was divided into three levels. source areas 1, 2, 7, 34, along with 1–34, 1–4, 4–11, 19–34, 18–19, 27–39, emerge primary region. Previous primarily emphasized individual characteristics spaces. However, adopts systemic rooted meticulously explore specific system Moreover, it amalgamates considerations both significance scale conducting combined influence This not only aids preserving but also evaluating, planning, restoring progression plays crucial role establishing an advancement

Ecological corridors, as a key component of ecological networks (EN), can strengthen linkages between sources and effectively prevent further fragmentation loss regional habitats. Understanding the structure corridors exploring their resilience in different scenarios facilitate understanding on flows energy materials that contribute to landscape conservation restoration. In this study, agro-pastoral ecotone North Yinshan Mountain was used an example conduct EN analysis with focus. Random attack, overgrazing urban sprawl, incremental optimization, arterial were constructed. Network cascade failure simulations are introduced explore stability under four scenarios. Among them, 12 new optimized at 9 nodes, 158 connected 159 form backbone EN. Both scheme optimization additional edges play important roles maintaining This provides scientific decisions for categorization ensure integrity functional landscapes.

The Yellow River Delta (YRD), a critical economic zone along China's eastern coast, also functions as vital ecological reserve in the lower River. Amidst rapid industrialization and urbanization, region has witnessed significant land use/cover changes (LUCC), impacting ecosystem services (ES) security patterns (ESP). Investigating LUCC's effects on ES ESP YRD is crucial for sustainable development. This study utilized PLUS model to simulate 2030 use scenarios, including natural development (NDS), (EDS), protection scenarios (EPS). Subsequently, InVEST circuit theory were applied assess under varying LUCC from 2010 2030. Findings indicate: (1) Notable 2030, marked by decreasing cropland increasing construction water bodies. (2) From 2020, improvements observed carbon storage, yield, soil retention, habitat quality, whereas 2020–2030 saw increases yield retention but declines quality storage. Among EPS showed superior performance all four ES. (3) Between sources, corridors, pinchpoints expanded, displaying spatial heterogeneity. scenario yielded most substantial pinchpoints, totaling 582.89 km2, 645.03 64.43 respectively. highlights importance of EPS, offering insightful scientific guidance YRD's

As a crucial component of the ecological security pattern, source (ES) plays vital role in providing ecosystem service value (ESV) and conserving biodiversity. Previous studies have mostly considered ES only from either landscape change pattern or function perspectives, ignored their integration spatio-temporal evolutionary modeling. In this study, we proposed multi-perspective framework for characteristics by ESV incorporating aesthetics, carbon sink characteristics, quality, kernel NDVI (kNDVI). By integrating revised normalized difference vegetation index as foundation, employed spatial priority model to identify ES. This improvement aims yield more practical specific result. Applying Three-River Headwaters Region (TRHR), significant sources has been observed 2000 2020. performance provided reference conservation TRHR. The results indicate that identification reliable accuracy efficiency compared with existing NRs method could reveal precise distributions ES, enhancing integrity technical modeling support developing cross-scale planning management strategies nature reserve boundaries. our research serve building networks other ecologically fragile areas.

In the context of accelerating ecological fragmentation, it is urgent to enhance interconnectivity urban patches form a resilient network (EN). The construction Natural Protected Area (NPA) system proposed in 2019 latest strategy implemented by China protecting spaces. However, effectiveness this has not been adequately demonstrated. This study specifically analyzes concrete impacts natural protected area on resilience networks (ENs). economically developed Urban Agglomeration around Hangzhou Bay (UAHB) was chosen as an example for argumentation. Firstly, we utilized circuit theory construct EN consisting 173 sources and 401 corridors. Secondly, were categorized into three levels based their connectivity values. Finally, dynamic disturbance scenario simulation framework constructed evaluate impact NPA EN. results indicated that: (1) preceding 47% are crucial maintaining EN; (2) Compared with other spaces, NPAs have 38% 1100% greater effect first second-level sources, respectively, while its third-level 118% lower. innovatively investigates differential hierarchical areas unprotected environment.
