Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is a crucial strategy that presents range of benefits at both technical and organizational levels. It involves the integration collaborative methods facilitate sharing, centralization, harmonization product information, while also streamlining processes information exchange. This study serves as an initial endeavor to introduce PLM within cottage industry by examining resulting transformations. The research follows structured three-step methodology. Initially, comprehensive literature review was conducted explore concept under investigation. Subsequently, survey carried out Moroccan social economy sector identify prevalent challenges. sample comprises 500 workshops from diverse regions sectors. An analysis results using SPSS Excel software reveals management issues constitute primary obstacles faced sector, representing 40% total Notably, production-related challenges emerge most significant, accounting for 68.89% in sector. In final step, ceramics chosen focal industry, VBA Excel-based tool developed address identified issues. incorporates four essential functionalities -user management, order complaints cost management- are currently lacking facilitating change management. proposed subsequently implemented two pilot companies. outcomes this implementation reveal various barriers could hinder efforts post-implementation.

ABSTRACT Nigeria faces significant environmental and health risks due to rapid Waste Electrical Electronics Equipment (WEEE) generation, estimated at 500,000 tons annually. This systematic review analyses the situation of WEEE in Nigeria, examining existing policies, regulations, emerging technologies for sustainable recycling. The analysis reveals gaps legislation, inadequate infrastructure, primitive recycling methods, resulting severe pollution risks. Emerging technologies, such as waste‐to‐energy conversion, circular economy approaches, offer potential solutions. evaluates these technologies' effectiveness sustainability Nigerian context. Recommendations policy reforms, technological innovations, stakeholder engagement are provided inform evidence‐based decision‐making promote practices Nigeria.

The extraction of metallic nanoparticles (MNPs) from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has gained extensive attention researchers for eco-friendly, reliable, sustainable alternative protocol over the traditional linear economic approach (make-use-dispose) boosting circular economy. A plethora MNPs including metals/metal oxide having a size dimension ranging 1–100 nanometers (nm) have been extracted these WEEE by using different chemical, physical, biological methods. Recovery certain precious can be achieved dismantling recycling items in form gold (Au), platinum (Pt), zinc (ZnO), silver (Ag), copper (CuO). These provide huge range applications such as antibacterial, therapeutic, target drug delivery, biotechnological applications. This comprehensive review provides in-depth knowledge synthesis techniques delves into their potential biomedical fields with mechanisms. article also discussed global challenges opportunities this area adopting concept economy to conserve natural resources future generations hence create greener environment protect our planet.

In today's technological age, the issue of e-waste management is becoming increasingly critical. Although several studies have detected and proposed innovative technologies to both enable increase recycling performance, end users often dispose obsolete products inappropriately. The present work aimed at investigating criteria that influence user behavior regarding recycling, starting from seven (i.e., intention recycle e-waste, awareness importance environmental concern, attitudes towards subjective norms, intention, WTP for recycling) identified in literature as most relevant. A questionnaire administered students, interviews academic experts, analytical techniques descriptive statistics, analytic hierarchy process, econometric regression) were used identify relevant recycling. With willingness pay (WTP) a reference criterion, remaining six investigated variables, with aim uncovering relations among them determining which had significant impact on WTP. results revealed individuals strong pro-social more aware need e-waste. Furthermore, those who disposed waste correctly specialized centers recycle. study highlights raising group level promote disposal social norm.

The rapid growth of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) industry has led to an increase in Waste (WEEE) generation Nigeria. informal sector plays a significant role WEEE recycling, but unsustainable practices pose environmental health risks. Unsustainable EEE recycling Nigeria's result pollution, hazards, economic losses. lack regulation, inadequate infrastructure, limited awareness exacerbate problem, putting recyclers, communities, environment at risk. This review synthesizes existing literature on impacts sector. Informal Nigeria are characterized by primitive techniques, such as burning dismantling, leading air, water, soil pollution. Cultural socioeconomic factors influence collection, require region-specific approaches. availability technical capacity, resources differs across regions, affecting feasibility proposed solutions. By acknowledging these factors, findings from Nigerian context can be adapted applied other contributing more comprehensive understanding management challenges solutions globally.

Abstract The exponential growth of electronic waste pollution, including outdated electrical equipment, is a significant environmental and health concern. To protect the ecosystem from e-waste contamination, chemical engineering with its prominent processes such as leaching, pyrolysis, etc. can take leading role in resource recovery, eco-friendly management, sustainable recycling. This review presents detailed analysis recycling technologies perspective. Several smart solutions are discussed for managing recovering important components, semiconductor chips, metals (Pb, Al, Steel, Ni, Ag, Au, Pd), rare-earth minerals, Various recovered by electro-winning cell phones, integrated circuits, be used to produce corrosion-resistant appliances, IoT (Internet Things) devices like sensors, robotics related sciences. paper concentrates on strategies materials that make equipment devices, along roadblocks potential connected these strategies. study compares various procedures photoelectronic trash last few years. also focuses green upcycling effective e-trash management discarded keyboards into value-added goods musical tools innovative artistic sculptures seawater. portrays pyrometallurgical valorization digital rubbish printed circuit boards (PCBs), reactors, transistors e-waste-based nanorobots. emphasizes difficulty growing amounts globally damaging effects environment human caused improper disposal.
