Efficient removal of broad-spectrum organic pollutants is crucial in wastewater treatment. The widely used biofilm process in advanced wastewater treatment is currently challenged by numerous exotic emerging pollutants (EPs), and the underlying principle of challenge adaptive evolution laws under EP stress.
