This research explores the integration of DUT-67 metal organic frameworks into polyethyleneimine-based hydrogels to assemble a composite system with enough mechanical strength, pore structure and chemical affinity work as sorbent for water remediation. By varying solvent-to-modulator ratio in water-based synthesis path, particle size was successfully modulated from 1 μm 200 nm. Once particles were integrated polymeric hydrogel, hydrogel exhibited enhanced properties after incorporation MOF filler. XPS, NMR, TGA, FTIR, FT Raman studies confirmed presence interaction chains within network. Adsorption methyl orange, copper(II) ions, penicillin V on revealed rapid adsorption kinetics monolayer according Langmuir’s model. The demonstrated higher capacities, compared pristine showcasing synergistic effect, maximum capacities 473 ± 21 mg L−1, 86 6 127 4 V, respectively. study highlights potential MOF-based efficient adsorbents environmental pollutants pharmaceuticals.
