This paper presents a scientometric and bibliometric literature review of the research on transitions to autonomous electric vehicles. We discuss main characteristics, evolution, various transitional issues, identifying potential trends for future research. The Scopus WoS search relevant articles generated corpus 4693 articles, which we analyzed using VOSviewer visualization software. result shows that transition is interdisciplinary, with 54 scientific areas identified. Analysis requires an understanding broader aspects automotive industry, related sustainability, environment protection, road safety, public policies, market factors other business, legal management issues. study highlights need more address challenges this global in industry. Scrappage policy has been introduced by Government of India (GOI) in the year 2022 for safer and efficient mobility roadmap India. This paper assesses impact this scrappage on heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) segment terms absolute population numbers, logistic parameters (run kilometres, ton-kilometres avg. fleet age), emission inventory regulated pollutants (NOx, PM2.5 CO) till 2035 economy.
