Although there has been considerable research interest in how mindfulness affects consumers' pro-environmental behaviors, extant not fully clarified the underlying mechanisms through which is related to sustainable consumption. This study examines mediating effects of spiritual well-being regard relationship between and consumer behavior. A soundscape carries the culture and memories of historical cultural areas, capable evoking people’s emotions towards a place. This paper aims to explore influence on sense place in areas using mixed-method approach. Conducting on-site measurements, questionnaires, semi-structured interviews four Taiyuan, China, this research utilized structural equation modeling grounded theory for analysis. Research findings: Firstly, soundwalk method identified 11 categories soundscapes main sources noise residential were traffic sounds commercial sounds. Secondly, residents showed highest preference natural traditional activity Preferences activities’ sounds, along with perceived frequency daily life entertainment positively associated place, while pet was negatively associated. Lastly, from theory, that effectively enhanced residents’ by triggering memories, embodying culture, connecting emotions. Daily linked lives prompted visions, local dialects evoked emotion culture. Activities’ served as lubricants primarily lifestyle emotional connection.
