The spatial characteristics, pollution sources, and risks of soil heavy metals were analyzed on Hainan Island. results showed that the heavily polluted points accounted for 0.56%, number mildly above 15.27%, respectively, which mainly distributed in northern part study area. principal component analysis-absolute score-multiple linear regression (APCS-MLR) positive matrix factorization (PMF) revealed four sources metals: agricultural cadmium, (Cd), industrial mining arsenic, (As), transportation zinc lead (Zn Pb), natural chromium, nickel, copper (Cr, Ni, Cu). human health risk assessment indicated average non-carcinogenic (HI) both adults children was within safe threshold (<1), whereas Cr Ni posed a carcinogenic (CR) to health. In addition, total (THI) potential children, while (TCR) remained relatively high, Monte Carlo simulation all <1, but index >1, indicating threshold. Meanwhile, nearly 100% 99.94% TCR values exceeded 1 × 10

Soil pollution causes many harmful effects by its contaminants or pollutants, which are known as soil pollutants. They causing serious problems in plants well humans. By entering into plants, chemicals become part of the food chain. When humans consume contaminated food, it has on human health. Pollutants making unfit for living. Many techniques being used remediation pollution. Some traditional techniques; some innovative and effective emerging science technology going on. In this review, we have discussed significant methods, their aspects, how they playing role remediation. Biological methods such living organisms, chemical, genetic manipulation modern that Genetic manipulations sometimes change enzyme processes, enhance whole activity changing proteins organisms related to enzymes. Pollution can be done process bio-augmentation, uses different types strains microbes treatment. As there is an increase formation OH compounds, advanced oxidation technologies introduced treat them. Trace metals heavy also a big problem pollution, treated phytoremediation use strategies. Nanoparticles treatment compounds like nitrates, manganese, arsenic, etc. This review will guide you through

Innovative and sustainable environmental management strategies are urgently required to address the escalating global pollution crisis. Phytoremediation, which involves using plants mitigate, remediate, or contain contaminants, is a promising, cost-effective, environmentally friendly alternative conventional remediation methods. This review summarizes current research elucidate multifaceted roles of in mitigation, detailing mechanisms such as phytoextraction, phytostabilization, phytodegradation, rhizofiltration; we highlight successful case studies that demonstrate practical applications across diverse environments, use hyperaccumulator for heavy metal removal genetically engineered species organic pollutant degradation. Furthermore, this explores recent technological advancements have enhanced effectiveness phytoremediation, integration nanotechnology genetic engineering. It also analyzes economic social implications adopting plant-based control strategies, emphasizing their potential community involvement socioeconomic benefits. Despite promising outlook, acknowledge inherent challenges limitations including public acceptance scalability issues. Finally, identify key opportunities future innovative approaches could expand scope impact phytotechnologies mitigation. comprehensive underscores both agents restoration essential components systems.
