Strengthening agriculture is crucial for ensuring food security the world’s expanding population. Although food security has been a long-standing focus of research and policy in China, significant gaps remain synthesizing evolving debates across multiple disciplines such as agriculture, economics, environmental science, politics. This systematic review provides an interdisciplinary analysis five key areas shaping contemporary discourses on Chinese security: (1) balancing self-sufficiency with trade dependence; (2) reconciling agricultural intensification sustainability; (3) addressing urbanization’s impact small-scale agriculture transformation; (4) enhancing resilience to climate change through targeted investments policies; (5) improving safety standards meet growing consumer concerns. harnesses insights from global academic databases—including Web Science, Scopus, Google Scholar—to map security, peer-reviewed studies reports 2010 2024. Drawing upon empirical evidence recent studies, this highlights critical tensions, those between economic growth priorities ecological preservation, explores pathways for sustainable development within China’s unique socio-political context. Today’s adolescents represent an elective target in addressing environmental challenges. Education is a key factor achieving sustainable future for them. However, formal education can challenge when youths are its target, as they considered the “interactive generation”. Game-based learning, and, particular, Digital Educational Escape Rooms (DERs), have emerged innovative methods education, with promising applications sustainability studies. In this study, we developed 14 using Social Cognitive Theory of Bandura theoretical framework. These were focused on and tested them sample 411 students (aged 12–18 years; 158 female, 38.4%). A one-group quasi-experimental research design was adopted, carrying out pre-test post-test analysis. Each participant completed assessments at two time points: before engaging escape rooms (T0) after (T1). The assessment tools included Goal Assessment Scale (GAS) Perceived Climate Self-Efficacy Scale. Our findings revealed no significant gender differences goal achievement. T0, females exhibited higher levels perceived climate self-efficacy both individual collective dimensions. Instead, appeared particularly effective increasing among male participants. results suggest that hold potential enhancing self-efficacy, although baseline efficacy warrant further exploration.

Abstract An extensive and profound investigation into the dynamic interactions between High‐Quality Urbanization (HQU) Ecosystem Service Value are of utmost importance for coordinated development region. Diverging from traditional macro‐level analysis, this study is grounded on county‐scale data, measuring HQU ecosystem service value a multidimensional perspective. On basis research framework “phenomena‐relationships‐mechanisms”, we expect to delve deeper spatio‐temporal evolutionary characteristics their integrated interactions. Additionally, utilize econometric models rigorously evaluate impact value, with goal filling current gaps. The results as follows: (1) From 2000 2020, in Shandong Province exhibit an overall decreasing then increasing trend, shows spatial posture high east low west. generally maintains steady upward its evolution has apparent heterogeneity.
