ABSTRACT Given the highly fragmented structure and strong industrial linkages of tourism industry, exploring flow drivers carbon transfer is critical for sustainable tourism. This study combines environmentally extended input–output (EEIO) model with structural decomposition analysis (SDA) path (SPA) to identify key sectors, paths, emissions from Taking China as a case, results show that: (1) China's grew 34.68 Mt. in 2002 137.87 2019, road transport (22.58%), food beverage services (21.10%), shopping (20.52%), air (14.91%) constituting primary emitters. (2) Critical supply chain “source sector → tourism‐related sectors final demand” spurring growth primarily centers on associated transport, services, shopping, where source mainly come energy supply, manufacturing, transportation, logistics sectors. (3) Despite considerable sectoral path‐level heterogeneity, driver inhibiting direct intensity, while demand remains main obstacle low‐carbon In addition limited effect restructuring, promising role optimizing intermediate goods cubing revealed. Finally, relevant theoretical policy implications are discussed.

The effect of energy use on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions has been frequently studied in the literature. These studies have mainly concluded that countries should decline (increase) fossil fuel (clean) energy. However, literature suffers from a significant shortcoming as it does not focus marginal 1 % increase for each generation source sectoral CO2 emissions. Therefore, detailed analysis is conducted this study to examine relationship between electricity (EG) and at disaggregated level. China, world's leading country terms use. Thus, considers source-based EG sector-based emissions, uses high-frequency daily data January 1, 2019, December 31, 2022, applies kernel-based regularized least squares (KRLS) method. outcomes show (i) effects sources follow nonlinear structure, suggesting varies by sector, sources, estimation models (either incremental or degressive). there are certain externalities among alternative sectors; (ii) statistically vary sector constructed models, showing some much more important sectors. For reason, all same importance emissions; (iii) KRLS method higher ability reaching ∼99.8 %, which provides novel allows researchers argue various policy options based obtained results. thus highlights varying impacts changing influence crucial point be considered Chinese policymakers when formulating energy-related environmental policies.

Introduction: In response to China’s ambitious dual-carbon goals, this study investigates the spatial correlation and influencing factors of carbon emission intensity within Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area (GBA), a region pivotal for nation’s energy conservation reduction efforts. Through comprehensive analysis encompassing period from 2000 2020, research aims delineate dynamics emissions identify actionable insights regional low-carbon development. Methods: Utilizing an integrated methodology comprising autocorrelation analysis, Social Network Analysis (SNA), Quadratic Assignment Procedure (QAP), analyzes data alongside socio-economic variables. These methodologies allow nuanced exploration structure determination across GBA. Results: Findings reveal cyclical fluctuation in network characterized by varying degrees cohesion among cities, indicating significant opportunities optimization. A “core-periphery” pattern emerges, with economically robust cities such as Hong Kong Macao at core, less developed like Huizhou Jiangmen on periphery. Cities Guangzhou Shenzhen play crucial mediator roles. The QAP further identifies six major factors: geographic proximity, economic development level, urbanization rate, industrial configuration, level technological innovation, environmental protection efforts, latter four having markedly positive impact relevance. Discussion: study’s underscore importance understanding role socioeconomic shaping these patterns. For policymakers stakeholders GBA, findings highlight necessity targeted intervention strategies that consider both unique position broader context. This approach can significantly contribute achieving objectives, promoting conservation, facilitating transition economy.

ABSTRACT China's CO 2 emissions from commercial vehicles have an important impact on global climate change. However, a systematic research analysis, especially new energy in the “dual‐carbon” time is still insufficient. Thus, based zero‐carbon (green electricity, green hydrogen, and ammonia), this paper carries out about prediction between diesel light‐duty trucks different sales fraction projects of 2020 to 2060, changes quantity (including stock, increment, scrap total amount). The calculation results show that largest, gradual upward trend general, reaches peak value 2055 (1.793 billion tons). Based for electricity trucks, 2035. As penetration increases, gradually decline. Reduction Project_1 19.94% will stabilize after 2055. Project_4 2040 15 years earlier than Project_4's, are nearly zero. change rule “Diesel + Green Hydrogen” Ammonia” similar, higher Hydrogen”. permeability greatly, large reduction. 2020's data, as gray ammonia fuel, current overall emission level can be reduced only when production reduces by less 30% level. These obviously guiding significance low vehicles.
