ABSTRACT Given the highly fragmented structure and strong industrial linkages of tourism industry, exploring flow drivers carbon transfer is critical for sustainable tourism. This study combines environmentally extended input–output (EEIO) model with structural decomposition analysis (SDA) path (SPA) to identify key sectors, paths, emissions from Taking China as a case, results show that: (1) China's grew 34.68 Mt. in 2002 137.87 2019, road transport (22.58%), food beverage services (21.10%), shopping (20.52%), air (14.91%) constituting primary emitters. (2) Critical supply chain “source sector → tourism‐related sectors final demand” spurring growth primarily centers on associated transport, services, shopping, where source mainly come energy supply, manufacturing, transportation, logistics sectors. (3) Despite considerable sectoral path‐level heterogeneity, driver inhibiting direct intensity, while demand remains main obstacle low‐carbon In addition limited effect restructuring, promising role optimizing intermediate goods cubing revealed. Finally, relevant theoretical policy implications are discussed.

Reducing carbon emission intensity is crucial for achieving sustainable development. Carbon expressively affected by the issuance of green bonds. Thus, it imperative to assess influence bond on emissions and examine their correlation. Such research holds great potential expedite overhaul modernization businesses construct a circular economy system. This paper uses spatial Durbin model draw empirical conclusions using data from 26 provinces in China between 2016 2021. Firstly, under different matrices, has been analyzed that an increase 1% bonds leads reduction 0.306% or 0.331% intensity. It shows have substantially reduce Additionally, current period driven previous period. Secondly, analysis mediated transmission suggests can ultimately changing energy consumption structure improving efficiency technology innovation. Thirdly, heterogeneity inhibitory effect stronger less economically developed regions than regions. There significant neighboring local present only not

This study investigated for the first time tourism–carbon emissions nexus based on destination construction perspective, using China’s national scenic areas (CNSA) as a vehicle concretization. A multi-source county panel dataset of 29,628 samples was constructed. The staggered Difference-in-Differences (DID) model and spatial DID were further formulated. findings show that: (1) CNSA resulted in 0.1024% reduction carbon emission intensity (CEI) treatment counties relative to non-treatment counties, although effect exhibits delay, it persists intensifies over time; (2) our heterogeneity results indicate that inhibiting is significantly more pronounced western, eastern, subsamples; (3) analysis reveals exerts negative spillover CEI. work enhances comprehension nexus, with implications advancing regional policy strategies.

Abstract Green finance is a market‐driven approach to achieve the “double carbon” goal. However, existing research predominantly focuses on connotations and empowerment aspects of green finance. Notable regional disparities exist in China's financial markets resource endowments, resulting uneven levels development among various areas, significantly impeding overall transformation economy society. In light this, our paper explores spatial patterns association network China. The findings indicate that: (1) China exhibits an “east high, west low” distribution pattern, with significant clustering observed neighboring provinces. eastern region displays “H‐H” clustering, while western shows “L‐L” clustering. (2) correlation provincial demonstrates eastward concentration westward dispersion trend, strong areas gradually expanding. Notably, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Beijing‐Tianjin‐Hebei urban agglomerations lead nationally attractiveness. (3) external radiation capability progressively improving, provinces such as Beijing, Hebei, Hubei, Sichuan likely occupy strategic structural positions, possessing greater advantages. This study not only expands theoretical scope but also provides practical reference for coordinating achieving high‐quality from perspective.

The digitization process plays a crucial role in eliminating tourism's "low efficiency" developmental pitfall and addressing the conflict between high-caliber tourism development reduction of carbon emissions. The study quantified emissions from Yangtze River Economic Belt China using both footprint "bottom-up" approach developed panel threshold model to empirically evaluate nonlinear effect digital economy on results show that will vary structure depending degree tourist concentration residents areas.Particularly, considering varying levels resident population density, overall impact exhibits reversed "V" type single characteristic. If sector falls below 1.08 or its density is under 389.9, growth exacerbates emissions, resulting incremental impacts 3.3 2.38, respectively. If exceeds surpasses 389.90, collective be maximized, advancing aid lowering sector, yielding -3.94 -2.17, respectively. The diminishing within primarily focuses transportation tourism-related activities.Achieving harmonious interplay evolution requires not only focused economy, but also strategic direction businesses populations, thereby disrupting inflexible trend clustering.

China’s tourism industry has rapidly grown over the past two decades, significantly contributing to national economy but also increasing carbon emissions. This raised concerns about environmental sustainability, especially given commitments peak emissions by 2030 and achieve neutrality 2060. study analyzes changes in emissions, carrying capacity, Tourism Carbon Pressure Index (TCPI) of from 2000 2022, aiming support green transition sector. Examining data 31 provinces, we observed a significant growth trend with temporary decline during COVID-19 pandemic 2020, followed rebound 2021 2022. The findings reveal that capacity are relatively stable eastern regions, more pronounced central western particularly west. TCPI is higher east, indicating greater pressure, while it regions. To sustainable development, propose promoting transportation, eco-friendly hotels, scenic spots, improving resource utilization efficiency, enhancing policy technological innovation, adopting regional development strategies. These measures will help reduce tourism-related contribute goals. provides comprehensive analysis actionable insights guide transformation industry.
