Globally, natural habitats have suffered tremendous damage from human activities, a phenomenon that is increasingly evident in basin regions. The management of regions dependent on understanding the various impacts activities these ecosystems. Notably, southeastern Qilian Mountains mountainous northwestern sector Sichuan emerge pivotal areas for restoration. In recent years, increasing urbanization has profoundly impacted the quality of regional habitats, presenting a severe risk to ability region develop in high-quality manner. Abstract The increasing proximity between protected areas (PAs) and urban areas, which can lead to (UPAs), is now commonplace. Use of Euclidean distance measure the PAs cities has not correctly portrayed spatial relationship cities. Habitat quality (HQ) has been progressively degrading worldwide in recent decades due to rapid climate change and intensive human activities. These changes not only threaten biodiversity ecosystem functions, but also impact socio-economic development. Therefore, a few studies have focused on the dynamics of HQ its natural anthropogenic drivers. However, many contributions failed reveal how these factors interact HQ, especially ecologically fragile areas. We estimated Songnen Plain Northeast China, an area, from 2000 2020 using InVEST model explored response interactions (topography, climate, NDVI) (nighttime light index, population density) influencing Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).
