The rapid expansion of the digital economy presents substantial opportunities for achieving “dual carbon” objectives in China and globally. Understanding how contributes to carbon emission reduction is essential promoting high-quality economic growth. This study examines mechanisms through which affects emissions, with a focus on “production side” social reproduction process. Using panel data from 30 provincial-level regions between 2012 2022, this employs dual fixed-effects model mediation effect analyze impact emissions. It explores three key channels–scale effects, structural technological effects. Additionally, moderating applied assess role National Big Data Comprehensive Pilot Zone (NBDCPZ) policy enhancing effects economy. findings indicate that: (1) plays significant reducing its being more pronounced eastern areas abundant energy resources higher levels development. (2) On production side, progress upgrading mediate whereas scale increases However, combined outweighs negative expansion. (3) analysis reveals that NBDCPZ amplifies economy, further strengthening prohibitive influence As nations increasingly prioritize sustainable development, provides valuable insights into by reduction. highlight need region-specific policies leverage transformation achieve neutrality goals.

To study the spillover effect of digital economy development on carbon emissions, this innovatively constructs different spatial weight matrices, based 2011–2020 panel data covering 30 Chinese provinces, and it explores direct spillovers, conducted spillovers from channels, such as human capital, service industry development, information emissions through Durbin model combined with a mediating model. The results show that there is significant heterogeneity in development; terms regions, eastern region has highest average level central annual growth rate. Digital can directly suppress also indirectly by driving technological innovation optimizing energy consumption structure, exists effect. Under significantly negative. Regions same are more likely to exert emissions.

The digital economy, closely linked to agricultural progress, plays a key role in reducing carbon emissions. By utilizing panel data between 2011 and 2021 from 30 Chinese provincial-level regions, the present work empirically assesses direct impact nonlinear spatial spillover effects of economy on emissions, where methodologies including fixed effects, threshold models, econometrics are employed. results were as follows: (1) led remarkable inhibition which was consistent across various robustness checks. (2) reduction efficiency presented obvious variation, had greater negative effect eastern regions major grain-producing regions. (3) technological innovation played effect, showing an “inverted U-shaped” characteristic increasing first then decreasing overall. (4) This emission abatement also showed significant aspect, meaning that development one area prominently abates emissions adjacent provinces. Our findings might provide theoretical empirical foundation for comprehending addressing China perspective.

Building energy consumption constitutes a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Precise forecasting of in buildings plays pivotal role managing building efficiently, thereby aiding the reduction However, existing prediction algorithms often focus on within-period variations data and overlook between-period variations. This limitation makes it challenging achieve precise results, especially for long-term forecasts. To address this research gap, paper proposes an Enhanced Long-Term Prediction based 2D Tensorization (ELP2T) consumption. First, Frequency-Guided Network (FG-2TN) is proposed. Energy data, when represented as one-dimensional time series, faces certain limitations, FG-2TN employed these limitations. Second, Progress-Optimized Deep Convolutional (PO-DCN) It designed efficiently extract learn features from obtained two-dimensional tensors with fewer parameters less time. Third, modular method proposed transform series into using Fast Fourier transform. These are processed then concatenated sequence output. Ultimately, comparative analysis was carried out several traditional highlight superior performance ELP2T model. The average R² score our 0.807, representing impressive enhancement 11.06% compared most advanced alternatives. substantial improvement firmly establishes superiority approach. Especially, considering length 720 units, gain metric increases 18.09%, underscoring pronounced advantage addressing scenarios.
