China’s island tourism is still in the exploratory stage, and carbon emissions due to development are prominent. This study assesses of low-carbon on Changdao Island China. We constructed an evaluation model for islands based driver-pressure-state-impact-response model, Entropy Weight Method-Analytical Hierarchy Process Method was combined with weighting method determine index weights ench evaluation-indicator. The annual changes level tourism, indicators, characteristics scores, mode, key factors were analyzed. results showed that indicator “impact” most influential element island’s ecological environment value higher than economic value. Moreover, energy saving consumption reduction helped tourists have a better experience, which further enabled larger market size. “response” also occupied crucial position, where weighted government planning twice as high corporate practice. other elements “pressure”, “state”, “driving forces”, low important criterion greatest effect terms forces”. evaluated regionals across multiple dimensions, filled literature gap, provided reference regional sustainable tourism.

The current research work emphasizes the urgent need for a paradigm shift in Mediterranean tourism, advocating adoption of comprehensive framework centered on sustainability Tunisia. establishment an Inter-Ministerial Task Force is proposed to facilitate collaboration across governmental sectors, thereby enhancing governance and addressing complexities waste management within tourism industry. Results reveal significant inefficiencies underscore potential integrated approaches that can lead substantial environmental improvements. By fostering inter-ministerial collaboration, strategic roadmap provided promotes effective resource recovery sustainable practices. Furthermore, integration informal sector, exemplified by local recyclers, into formal systems anticipated enhance social equity bolster stewardship. A SWOT analysis identifies Tunisia’s intrinsic strengths, including its rich cultural heritage eco-tourism potential, while simultaneously exposing shortcomings such as fragmented structures insufficient infrastructure. It posited creation centralized coordination body, coupled with enhancement public–private partnerships, could catalyze innovation practices, leading increased investment opportunities successful implementation circular economy principles. Drawing inspiration from Spain’s model, actionable recommendations policymakers are offered, introduction eco-certification programs aimed at incentivizing environmentally responsible practices sector. Purpose The metaverse is a transformative platform with the potential to reshape hospitality and tourism by promoting sustainable practices. The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted the global tourism industry, forcing entrepreneurs to adapt and innovate in order recover. This systematic review aims identify scientific evidence on entrepreneurship experiences Latin America during pandemic. This study aims to assess the environmental sustainability and carbon footprint of tourism in Bayanaul State National Park (Kazakhstan) using GSTC criteria Protocol on Greenhouse Gas Emissions. As part work, surveys interviews were conducted with representatives industry, administration officials organizations analyze awareness principles sustainable tourism, existing barriers opportunities increase sustainability. The results showed that main contribution (530 tons CO2-eq.) is made by indirect emissions (57%) related procurement logistics as well coal heating (20.5%).
