The Glasgow Declaration called for scientifically based measurements of CO2 emissions in the tourism industry to achieve goals Paris Agreement. Despite economic and employment downturn caused by COVID-19, there are limited cases environmental assessments related tourism. This study estimates carbon footprint major G20 countries before after COVID-19. Understanding characteristics inbound domestic is important as they impact different markets. GHG from mainly stem transportation, but type travel country differences also make souvenirs, accommodation, food beverages significant emission factors. pandemic has greatly impacted industry. In 2020, both significantly decreased, affecting number tourists. some countries, measures against COVID-19 influenced these figures, although signs recovery were observed 2021, reduction rates varied country. These reductions should be pursued post-COVID-19 era, requiring efforts sustainable

As countries' economies gradually recovered from the impact of COVID-19, structure consumption underwent significant changes. Household has emerged as a crucial driving force for sustaining economic growth. Social network relationships, an integral component social capital, exert profound influence on household behaviour. This study examines and mechanisms relationships tourism based regression models, utilising data China Finance Survey (CHFS) collected over five periods between 2011 2021. The shows that: close connections positive consumption, evidenced by endogeneity robustness tests. favourable operates through three mechanisms: facilitating diversification spending channels, enhancing employment, mitigating financial constraints. analysis heterogeneity reveals that have most pronounced low-income families, households with stable young families. delves into economy micro perspective, offering evidence to unlock potential stimulating shaping policies related expenditure.

ABSTRACT Given the highly fragmented structure and strong industrial linkages of tourism industry, exploring flow drivers carbon transfer is critical for sustainable tourism. This study combines environmentally extended input–output (EEIO) model with structural decomposition analysis (SDA) path (SPA) to identify key sectors, paths, emissions from Taking China as a case, results show that: (1) China's grew 34.68 Mt. in 2002 137.87 2019, road transport (22.58%), food beverage services (21.10%), shopping (20.52%), air (14.91%) constituting primary emitters. (2) Critical supply chain “source sector → tourism‐related sectors final demand” spurring growth primarily centers on associated transport, services, shopping, where source mainly come energy supply, manufacturing, transportation, logistics sectors. (3) Despite considerable sectoral path‐level heterogeneity, driver inhibiting direct intensity, while demand remains main obstacle low‐carbon In addition limited effect restructuring, promising role optimizing intermediate goods cubing revealed. Finally, relevant theoretical policy implications are discussed.

The study was to establish a framework that integrates sense of place, involvement, perceived costs and benefits night tourism impact, support for development developed based on Social Exchange Theory (SET). In Wuhu Ancient City, historic district well-known its tourism, questionnaire survey carried out, 306 valid questionnaires received. findings showed while impact have negative influence support, advantages had favorable impact. Perceived the as well, were influenced by place. On other hand, involvement no bearing tourism; rather, it simply affected Additionally, from standpoint local suggests countermeasures in district.

The tourism industry is a significant contribution to the economy of many countries, including Pakistan. However, its activities often have negative impact on environment, particularly related climate change. Notably, Pakistan ranks fifth among countries most affected by change, which requires targeted analysis sector determine potential impacts. Despite critical nature this issue, there currently lack research that examines how change specifically impacts Pakistan's industry. This study aims address gap using Tourism Climate Index (TCI) assess suitability different locations across country. Our results show popular tourist destinations such as Gilgit-Baltistan experience their peak season in warmer third quarter (summer), corresponds highest observed TCI values. suggests temperatures could boost activity and spending these regions. Furthermore, our shows air temperature plays crucial role determining comfort levels significantly influences tourists' values sensory experiences. methodology can be an effective tool for further into geographical tourism. By identifying necessary changes due climatic changes, future studies provide valuable insights adapt reduce environmental footprint.

Accurately grasping the spatial network correlation structure of operational efficiency in star-rated hotels and its influencing factors is great significance for promoting high-quality coordinated development regional tourism reception industry. Using a comprehensive approach integrating Super-DEA model, modified gravity social analysis to explore evolving characteristics provincial China from 2013 2022, their underlying mechanisms. The results indicate that: (1) During study period, average was 0.618, with values showing distribution pattern "Eastern > Central Western Northeastern". (2) among overall exhibits densification, hierarchical structure, reinforcement. Provinces such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu eastern region play central roles "central actors" network, while provinces western northeastern regions Heilongjiang, Tibet, Xinjiang "passive network. (3) Members “Net benefit” “Two-way spillover” are primarily some provinces, members overflow” mainly provinces. (4) Factors economic level, residents’ consumption distance capital cities collectively drive evolution optimization China. This not only enriches research findings on hotel but also provides reference constructing cross-regional collaborative mechanism enhance hotels.

It is increasingly urgent to constantly monitor and analyze the carbon emission of international tourism activities. This paper focuses on countries regions along Belt Road (B&R), utilizes MRIO model approximate footprint (ITCT), analyzes patterns transfer. Panel further applied discuss effects various influencing factors. The results show that: 1) in 2015, ITCT B&R accounts for approximately 40.74% global year; 2) experienced continuous growth from 2005 with an annual rate 3.22%; 3) individual income level, urbanization, air passenger volume has positive impact ITCT, which varies according level country. are significance formulate future policies development.
