Traditionally, the world economy has operated on a “produce, use, and discard” linear basis. This method results in significant amount of waste cannot be maintained over time. Industries all around are embracing circular principles as response to challenges that they facing. These ideas place an emphasis reducing, reusing, recycling resources. With transition from economy, goal is establish system both restorative regenerative, thereby reducing waste, carbon emissions, Understanding incorporating them into planning global supply chains essential for addressing environmental concerns improving economic social well-being. By implementing these practises, resource efficiency, creativity, robustness improved.

ABSTRACT The circular economy ( CE ) aims to reshape production models, aligning them with environmental and social goals. Recent analyses show that global economic systems in 2023 are recycling only 7.3% of their material usage. One reason is the existence barriers adoption at multiple levels, which turn require appropriate dynamic capabilities be overcome. This research explores connections between capabilities, a focus on microfoundations, aim develop comprehensive framework supporting firms implement business models. study employs case seven Italian companies successfully undergone transformation across diverse manufacturing industries belonging Made Italy, is, fashion, food, furniture, paper. outlines microfoundations linked three sensing, seizing, reconfiguring. These allow overcome institutional, supply chain, firm levels.

Abstract Supply chain conceptualizations have been oversimplified through linear systems made up of sequential dyadic relationships between vertically specialized firms. This view fails to capture the complex patterns interdependencies that instead characterize modern supply chains, preventing managers from properly understanding underlying structure their chains and design most effective coordination mechanisms. We investigate this issue theoretical lens adaptive systems. The is conceptualized as a ecosystem where autonomous firms belonging value originally separated coevolve over time by changing individual behaviours while carrying out interdependent activities interacting with each other, fostered common goals. archetypes networks, intertwined closed-loop circular are means different interdependencies, defined number distribution within system. presence limits decision-making autonomy single requires them working together collaborative relationships. latter in fact permit mutual exchange information for benefits. A simple, yet insightful, agent-based model then developed effectiveness three information-sharing mechanisms: those developing vertical, horizontal, lateral relationships, across structures. generalized NKC fitness framework adopted interdependencies. results simulations us draw practical contributions.

ABSTRACT The global economy is undergoing rapid structural change, and economies have differentiated development trends in the production network (GPN). This article proposes a new perspective of cycle structure quantifies circular role GPNs based on an improved contribution algorithm. results show that degree participation most supply shows increasing trend, but demand greater than cycle. Ireland, Sweden, Germany Czech Republic participate to extent. China's downward trend. Our findings demonstrate it necessary monitor protect play key cycle, which has theoretical practical significance for in‐depth research globalization regional competitiveness.
