The present study explores the impact of energy natural resource productivity and environmental tax on sustainability in six major CO 2 ‐emitting economies: Euro Area, China, South Korea, Japan, United Kingdom States, from 1997 to 2019. This analysis aims reveal novel findings implications for different types regulations. We employed data regarding leading national regional emitters 2020 conduct an empirical using panel non‐linear auto‐regressive distributed lag (NARDL) quantile ARDL (QARDL) methods. results show that are crucial components reducing emissions by controlling innovation technology renewable consumption. main demonstrate is stronger presence increased vice versa. These have sustainable development carbon neutrality.

Role of Income, Population, Electricity, and Energy Transition on Sustainable Environment: Evidence from Lebanon by Marginal Effect Analysis DOI Creative Commons

This study empirically investigates the sustainable environment in Lebanon. In this context, uses ecological footprint (EFP) as leading environmental proxy, while load capacity factor (LCF) is used for robustness check. Also, considers some critical factors (namely, income, population, disaggregated level electricity consumption, and energy transition) explanatory variables, applies a marginal effect analysis through Kernel-Based Least Squares (KRLS) approach, data between 2000 2022. The empirical results show that (i) 1% increase hydroelectricity, transition causes 0.09%, 0.17%, 0.03%, 0.80% EFP, order; (ii) fossil renewable consumption do not have statistically significant effect; (iii) almost all variables considered varying across percentiles; (iv) KRLS higher estimation around 96.7%; (v) are robust case of alternative indicator (i.e., LCF) use. Thus, highlights factors' percentile-based differentiating effects, only hydroelectricity has declining on degradation. Considering results, discusses policy options Lebanon ensuring environment.

Опубликована: Апрель 2, 2025

The ongoing inquiry revolves around whether natural resources heightened geopolitical risk and economic policy uncertainty will act as mitigating or amplifying factors about pollution. In delving into this matter, study investigates resources, risk, on environmental quality in India, given the country's rapid expansion increasing energy demands. Employing quarterly data from 2003/Q2 to 2022/Q4 empirically examines how effectively influence ecological measured by load capacity factor while considering roles of consumption. analysis employs recently developed econometric methods, Quantile-on-Quantile Granger Causality Quantile-based Augmented Dickey-Fuller, marking their novel application context India's sustainability literature unveil causal connections among variables. results indicate that growth, renewable energy, uncertainty, collectively demonstrate forecasting capabilities over Ecological Quality. This study's originality lies employing advanced quantile-based techniques, providing insights asymmetric nonlinear relationships data. Therefore, it is necessary for targeted policies ensure sustainable management growth trajectory.

Researchers and companies are placing increasing importance on sustainability to fight climate change. This study analyzes the of hotel installation, photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, transition from traditional lighting light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs. The results show that for PV system, NPV (net present value) varied between 3191 11,959 kTND/kW installation panels has a positive 100% in case high market scenario 79–84% with reduced activity. Regarding energy optimization, use LED bulbs generates an 346 713 TND/bulb, depending self-consumption cost electricity. Ecological studies installing would reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 424 gCO2eq/kWh, or 61 tCO2eq/year. Furthermore, social evaluations have shown renewable optimization point view ecological transition. In conclusion, green investments improve hotels. However, fully exploit this potential, change consumer attitudes is needed. Hotels must continue promote their efforts while making guests aware eco-friendly choices. Only combined approach, involving both hoteliers guests, will achieve sustainable sector. objective article therefore examine multidisciplinary interactions development highlighting inherent opportunities approach success hospitality Our methodological combines theoretical numerical study. These play major role projects due economic, environmental, technical, technological contributions, which proves address holistic way.
