This work develops a dual-layer energy management (DLEM) model for microgrid (MG) consisting of community, distributed resources (DERs), and grid. It ensures the participation all these entities MG in market their interaction with each other. The first layer performs scheduling operation community goal minimizing its net-billing cost sends obtained schedule to DER operator Further, second formulates power algorithm (PSA) minimize net-operating DERs takes into account load demand requested by (COR). PSA aims achieve optimal considering solar PV power, demand, per unit grid prices, state charge battery storage system layer. Moreover, study impact electric vehicles (EVs) programs on DLEM, advanced probabilistic EV profile is developed practical uncertain events. modelled vehicle mode, new mode introduced, i.e., response strategy (V2G_DRS) mode. data are from setup installed buildings present at university campus. However, scenario reduction technique used deal uncertainties data. In order evaluate efficacy results compared previously reported models. reveal that DLEM superior existing models as it decreases COR 13% increases profit 17%. found highest penetration, 30 EVs, V2G_DRS reduces total imported 11.39% 7.88%. ABSTRACT Grid decarbonization is transitioning the generation method's (GM) topology towards a distributed energy resource (DER)‐centric decentralized topology. However, control method (CM) and management system (EMS) are yet to decentralize, resulting in topological mismatch‐related issues that pose significant operational challenges. Due advantages of synergy, CM research moving topologies. EMS lacks clear development path defined target parameters. This study investigates interdependencies between GM, CM, topologies, determining their relationship forecast future trajectory determine robust evaluation parameters for proposals. Topological analysis revealed strong influence one sector on another, placing pressure decentralize EMS. Utilizing these findings, detailed proposed cloud‐edge, cluster, blockchain‐based proposals against established architectures best aligned with incoming GM CM's limitations, requirements, advantages, offering superior security, resilience, adaptability, scalability.
