ABSTRACT
This
annual
review
outlines
the
progress
of
carbon
capture,
utilization,
and
storage
(CCUS)
technologies
in
2024.
As
human‐induced
CO
2
emissions
continued
to
rise,
year
presented
critical
challenges.
Notably,
2024
was
hottest
on
record
first
which
global
temperatures
exceeded
preindustrial
levels
by
more
than
1.5°C,
driving
intensified
efforts
advance
CCUS.
Scientific
interest
CCUS
grew
significantly,
with
number
related
publications
increasing
11.4%
compared
2023,
reaching
53,970.
The
total
operational
commercial
facilities
also
expanded,
rising
16.3%
a
50.
In
political
area,
governments
introduced
targeted
policies
accelerate
adoption,
focusing
economic
investment
specific
implementation
requirements.

Cemented
paste
backfill
(CPB)
is
a
technology
that
has
positive
impact
on
both
the
environment
and
mining
safety.
In
recent
years,
it
been
widely
applied
developed.
To
improve
carbon
sequestration
efficiency
of
CPB,
air-entraining
agent
addition
to
CO
2
-injected
CPB
(CO
-CPB)
proposed.
However,
influence
agents
rheological
properties
-CPB
not
investigated
date.
Therefore,
sodium
dodecyl
sulphate
(SDS),
an
agent,
was
selected
in
this
study,
added
with
SDS
were
comprehensively
investigated.
samples
0.0‰,
0.5‰,
1.0‰,
1.5‰
prepared,
parameters
(yield
stress
viscosity)
tested
after
curing
for
0,
0.25,
1,
h.
Gas
content
testing,
microscopic
analysis,
zeta
potential
measurements
performed.
The
results
show
decreased
yield
viscosity
at
0–1
h;
however,
increased
significantly
improved
performance
-CPB.
findings
study
have
important
implications
development

waste
utilisation.
