Purpose This study aims to examine the impact of output servitization on environmental performance manufacturing enterprises in China. ABSTRACT This study investigates the governance drivers of a firm's eco‐efficiency. We measure eco‐efficiency using data envelopment analysis (DEA), emphasizing efficiency measures aimed at minimizing inputs and ensuring constant returns to scale (CRS model). The variables considered within include board size, independence, frequency meetings, gender diversity. Specifically, we examine impact effectiveness, as determined by its level well sustainable governance, proxied with Our covers two geographical contexts, Europe USA, identify potential disparities between environmentally regulated (Europe) non‐regulated (USA) environments. Employing beta regression model, show that effectiveness positively affects European firms' eco‐efficiency, while no is found on sample US firms.
