Design and production technology of natural fibre reinforced polymers not only aims to offer products with a lower environmental impact than conventional glass composites but also caters for designers’ needs the fabrication lightweight free-formed architectural components. To combine both characteristics, forming process itself, once scaled up, be based on efficient material moulding strategies. The field of composite materials is rapidly expanding due to advancements in and manufacturing, driven by environmental concerns for reduced weight, increased energy efficiency, recyclability. While thermoset composites are crucial, thermoplastics gaining popularity their sustainability manufacturing advantages. They offer quicker processing, easier production, recyclability, aligning with goals. carbon, glass, aramid fibers remain dominant, natural like flax hemp high performance affordability lower impact. Natural-based yarns finding applications automotive, construction, consumer goods, sports equipment. Hybrid yarns, blending polymeric fibers, promote ecological solutions. This review outlines the benefits natural-based hybrid thermoplastic composites, exploring production methods current developments field.
