Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are a unique family of tailor-made porous materials that have gained significant attention for their properties and applications in various fields, including agriculture agrifood. The aim this review is to explore the potential MOFs as smart carriers delivery mediums essential oils (EOs) and/or aromatic volatiles. Emphasis given be applied crop protection fresh food preservation. indeed present highly promising physicochemical characteristics order such sectors.
