Like
many
developing
nations,
Egypt
is
facing
a
climate
crisis
due
to
its
agricultural
dependence
and
the
Nile
Delta’s
vulnerability.
Despite
government
plans
for
sustainable
development,
recent
infrastructure
projects
have
resulted
in
large-scale
green
space
removal.
Effective
communication
about
environmental
issues
can
spark
pro-environmental
behavior
citizen
activism.
This
study
explores
social
media’s
potential
bridge
this
gap
Egypt.
Utilizing
Facebook
AB
testing
with
limited
budget,
we
reached
significant
2.3%
of
Egypt’s
online
population
(nearly
2
million
users).
explored
message
framing,
findings
showing
that
rational
posts
resonated
best
while
fear
appeals
had
minimal
impact.

Caribbean
landscape

intertwined

threads

a
complex
history
marked

colonialism.

elites,
marginalizing
Indigenous
African
populations.
These
hierarchies
influence
land
ownership
patterns,
political
structures,
even
interactions
in
many
nations
(Beckles,
2000;
Ramjit,
2019).
Heterarchy
offers
compelling
alternative
these
entrenched
structures.
Defined
anthropologists
like
Descola
(2001)
as
system
that
prioritizes
collaboration
distributed
power,
heterarchy
challenges
notion
single,
dominant
authority.

In
Tunisia,
like
other
countries
in
the
Middle
East
and
North
Africa
(MENA)
region,
climate
change
(CC)
is
increasingly
prompting
a
re-evaluation
of
journalism's
traditional
gatekeeping
role
favour
transformative,
community-oriented
approaches
that
promote
justice,
foster
greater
awareness
engagement.
This
study
qualitatively
explores
perceptions
knowledge
Tunisian
journalists
(N
=
7)
covering
CC,
within
context
governmental
uncertainty
dependence
on
international
non-governmental
organisations.
Thematic
analysis
revealed
three
themes.
First,
global–local
nexus
CC
reporting
highlights
interconnectedness
global
local
perspectives,
revealing
how
transnational
issues
are
contextualised
frameworks.
Second,
theme
solutions-oriented
journalism
emphasises
shift
towards
transformative
storytelling,
focusing
solutions
rather
than
merely
problems.
Finally,
determinants
attention
shaping
various
attention—such
as
circulation
disinformation,
justice
claims
youth
activism—that
dictate
choices,
level
receives
media
coverage.
The
calls
for
addressing
these
challenges
enhancing
practices.
Further
research
using
diverse
methods
needed
to
explore
frame
across
different
contexts.
