In recent years, different approaches for achieve the removal of Contaminant Emerging Concerns (CECs) from aqueous matrices were developed. Within this framework, synthesis new hybrid materials capable to combine processes, such as photocatalysis, adsorption and enzyme catalysis, is an important issue. Therefore, enhance performances efficiency, reduce costs environmental impact these reusable synthesized tested towards both natural spiked water containing organic inorganic pollutants. The aim review highlight main strategies employed, summarize properties materials, critically analyse their strengths weaknesses.
