The COVID-19 pandemic has ignited a search for innovative solutions to tackle viral transmission and ensure early detection. Graphene its derivatives have emerged as promising materials in this fight, showcasing impressive potential across diverse range of applications. From frontline defenses like antiviral PPE with enhanced filtration breathability microscopic detective work via highly sensitive FET biosensors, graphene offers multifaceted attack on the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Its impact extends beyond diagnostics, empowering energy storage disinfection technologies while revolutionizing drug delivery air purification through virus-capturing filters. Antiviral coatings vigilant nano-sensors further bolster arsenal, offering comprehensive protection at surface levels. Moreover, graphene-based masks, their reduce pollution exposure, may even offer an additional layer against polluted areas. In summary, emerges versatile guardian COVID-19, poised revolutionize fight beyond. applications, coupled ongoing research, paint compelling picture future where one atom time, rewrites narrative defense.

Unfortunately, nearly the whole world came to a standstill due coronavirus disease 2019, i.e., COVID-19 pandemic, which negatively and severely impacted almost all facets of society, systems, lives on planet during last few years. During this time, surge in generation huge volume diverse wastes at an unprecedented rate occurred extensive use disposables personal shielding safety gear such as protective equipment (PPE) for both infected uninfected people well frontline staff, etc., corona protocols, especially form “plastic wastes”. Consequently, these factors induced novel route pollution air, soil, water, inviting great number health hazards addition pandemic. Beyond doubt, susceptibility spread through polluted waste is high, issue management measures are comparatively not up mark. The forced into lockdown, had constructive unconstructive effects only environment but also systems sector, etc. unforeseen increase quantity created challenge concerning normal disposal facilities, impacting global industry, hence, leading urgent situation internationally. Still, developing nations, sector its nascent stage, therefore, pandemic period has been influenced many parts world. current comprehensive review provides overview impacts challenges extends systematic data that made accessible so far along with discussion related workers staff suggestions possible approaches towards better services, essential manage resultant majority nations.

After more than two years wearing surgical masks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, used have become a significant risk for ecosystems, as they are producing wastes in huge amounts. They potential source of disturbance by themselves and microplastic contamination water system. As 5500 tons face estimated be each year, there is an urgent need manage them according circular economy principles avoid their inadequate disposal. In this paper, wear (WM), without any further pretreatment, been introduced addition mortars up 5% weight cement. Mechanical microstructural characterization carried out. The results indicate that adding MW cement supposes decrease properties material, concerning both strength durability behavior. However, even WM cement, aspect quite good, flexural not significantly affected, parameters maintained at levels that-even lower reference-are reasonable use. Provided worldwide production around 4.1 Bt/year, introduction less 1% produced, would make it possible get rid mask waste being produced.
