Recently, combining composting with vermicomposting has garnered growing interest as an efficient approach for the sustainable processing of agricultural waste. This study utilized a pretreatment method to mitigate salinity tomato straw, employing four distinct earthworm stocking densities (0, 40, 80, and 120 worms/kg) assess feasibility combined composting–vermicomposting stabilizing straw The results indicated that total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, humification index, germination index vermicompost products increased by 3.2–10.57%, 3.3–12.69%, 2.65–7.42%, 21.56–30.54%, 36.57–91.68%, respectively. Relative control, greatest improvement was observed at density 80 worms per kilogram compost. Moreover, treatment group showed enhanced enzyme activity, bacterial abundance, diversity relative control group. It can, therefore, be concluded integrated system contributes enhancing quality waste However, further explore potential high-salinity waste, future research could optimize investigate synergistic effects between environmental factors.

The escalating accumulation of toxic wastes and biowastes constitutes a critical environmental crisis that demands immediate effective solutions. Traditional waste treatment methods, predominantly chemical physical, are increasingly viewed as unsustainable, burdened by high operational costs the risk generating secondary pollutants. Against this backdrop, bioremediation emerges crucial sustainable alternative, utilizing natural detoxifying capabilities microorganisms. This review article focuses on use fungal bacterial strategies in bioremediation, emphasizing their vital role degradation, stabilization, or detoxification We provide an in-depth analysis mechanisms which fungi bacteria break down various contaminants, presenting current snapshot field’s state knowledge. highlights recent innovative advancements improve effectiveness expand applicability technologies. Moreover, it discusses practical challenges scaling these solutions to meet global needs suggests directions for future research implementation. synthesis not only underscores significance microbial addressing pressing problems but also acts call action continued innovation management hazardous wastes.

Mining activities cause substantial heavy metal release. Ecosystem restoration is considered one of the most effective ways to prevent mobilization in mining areas. Previous studies have suggested that microorganisms play crucial roles transport metal-contaminated farmland soils. However, interactions between geochemical fractions metals and microbial communities under crop cultivation restored areas are still unclear. In this study, we systematically collected soil (FS) grassland (GS) from a area reveal effects on composition microbiomes their potential mobilization. The results revealed exchangeable (Cd, Zn, As) FS (11%, 11%, 1.3% average, respectively) were significantly greater than those GS (30%, 19%, 3.2% respectively), indicating agricultural promoted addition, determined attributes, including diversity, composition, community structure, different GS. Furthermore, our such differences driven mainly by Notably, dominant genera enriched extensively involved mobilization, which consistent with fact metabolism-related genes FS. Taken together, findings suggest an important role
