Wood plastic composites (WPCs) offer a promising alternative for various automotive components, combining the benefits of wood and polymers such as lightness, strength, sustainability. However, determining decomposition kinetics is challenging due to intricate composition WPCs. Therefore, this research work focused analyze relationship between thermal degradation WPCs, atmosphere, kinetics. The kinetic parameters were evaluated by Coats Redfern method based on set TGA experiments under variable atmospheres (inert oxidative) using 10 ℃/min heating rate. Thermograms demonstrated significant differences in properties WPC when subjected oxidative inert atmospheres, despite two conditions having same number zones. It has been suggested that process contains three weight loss segments atmosphere according Gaussian multi-peak fitting function. Coats-Redfern showed multi-step chemical more accurately characterizes behavior WPC, attributing its multi-compositional properties. Proposed reaction schemes had regression coefficients higher than 0.9809 obtain order, activation energy pre-exponential factor.
