Abstract Amorphous MOFs have attracted more attentions due to their excellent adsorption performance. However, the transformation of crystalline MOF into amorphous often requires harsh conditions, and simple scalable amorphization strategies are still lacking. In this work, via a solvent‐assisted evaporation strategy is synthesized. The results show that gf BNU‐1(Zn) BNU‐1(Cd) glass foams with short‐range ordered but long‐range disordered atomic structure foam‐like multistage pore display capacities up 1009 1127 mg g −1 for Hg 2+ , surpassing those cBNU‐1(Zn) cBNU‐1(Cd) by 1.29 5.12 times, reaching record high. kinetics rate constants 1.49 7.6 times compared crystalline, partition coefficients 2.13 373 crystallines, separation factors /Ni attain 1506 2012, exhibiting selectivity. Among the multitude of toxic water pollutants, Pb2+ poses a significant threat to human health. A novel magnetic manganese-based metal-organic framework (Mn-MOF) composite, MFCys, was designed for selective removal Pb2+. MFCys readily synthesized through postsynthetic modification Mn-MOF/Fe3O4 (MF) with l-cysteine (l-Cys), utilizing prospective Mn-MOF, {[Mn2(tzpa)(OH)(H2O)2]·DMA}n. demonstrated superior adsorption Pb2+, reaching equilibrium within 2 h compared Mn-MOF and MF.
