Abstract In this work, a strategy of in situ 3D hierarchical porous HKUST-1/cellulose/chitosan (CSGA/HKUST-1) composite aerogels were synthesized using ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether (EGDE) as cross-linking agent. The effect EGDE on CSGA/HKUST-1 and the adsorption tetracycline (TC) was investigated: aerogel (CSGA) produced by ring-opening reaction epoxy group alkaline solution. chemical structure characterized FT-IR, XRD XPS.49.33 % mass loading CSGA1/HKUST-1 achieved N 2 desorption experiment showed BET specific surface area reached 694.514 m g −1 . SEM observed pores filled with large number octahedral HKUST-1 crystal particles. has excellent capacity (285.7 mg ), removal efficiency remained at 92.7 after five cycles adsorption–desorption. pseudo-second-order kinetic model Langmuir mechanism successfully concluded. This study can provide ideas for synthesis MOFs to prepare materials, improve rate prevent from falling off, etc., enrich application materials treatment antibiotic pollutants.
