Carbon dioxide (CO2) emission has been a global concern over the past few decades due to increase in demand of energy, major source which is fossil fuels. To mitigate issues, as well find solution for energy needs, an ample load research carried out years CO2 reduction by catalysis. Bismuth, being active catalyst both photocatalytically and electrocatalytically, interesting material that can be formed into oxides, sulphides, oxyhalides, etc. Numerous works have published based on bismuth-based materials catalysts CO2. However, proper understanding behavior facets dependence morphology different notion. In this review, various will discussed regarding their activity charge transfer properties, present them. With regard available literature, summarization, including photocatalysis, electrocatalysis photoelectrocatalysis, detailed, considering with morphologies.
