Indicators were determined one-month intervals two periods: 2005–2009 (before built) 2015–2019 (after built). Obtained subjected to statistical analysis. trend changes performed using Mann–Kendall test or seasonal Kendall test; significance differences between indicator values periods evaluated nonparametric Mann– Whitney U test. Results showed significant change trends total iron concentration downward both periods. As the urgency to adapt climate change intensifies, nature-based solutions (NBS) are receiving increasing attention. To mainstream NBS, a fundamental shift in environmental management is required. This study evaluates role that Communities of Practice (CoP) can play as platforms foster social learning drive such paradigm shift.A Natural Flood Management (NFM) CoP Yorkshire, UK, was used case study.A unique research design combined opportunistic data collected prior inception and purposive during after its formation.Opportunistic captured information from stakeholders regarding NFM engagement challenges around instalment delivery.Purposive examine ability learning, overcome identified establishment evaluate extent which contributes inducing NBS shift, using multi-loop framework. Results demonstrate effective delivering improving delivery. While most evidence point incremental rather than transformational changes, it did reveal abundant questioning current framing flood management.Furthermore, seems have encouraged some participants re-think governance structures for boundaries actor networks, raising promise that, if sustained longer term, could induce shift.Further should conduct longitudinal studies CoP's development overtime potential overcoming constraints.

Abstract The objectives of the article are: to assess spatio-temporal evolution eutrophication and water quality Turawa dam reservoir, located in south-western Poland on Mała Panew River; identify location relationship between potential sources physicochemical pollution related progressing process eutrophication; determine trophic status indices selected research object. analysis (Mann–Whitney U test, PCA, HCA, Spearman correlation matrix) showed a high susceptibility reservoir processes, especially due influence dangerous loads compounds emerging from areas with tourist intensity pollutants flowing River. parameters deteriorating ecological were TP, DO, BOD 5 , COD. Considering cumulative results for period 1998–2020, average was classes II or III. A noticeable deterioration appeared years 2016–2020, which proves reservoir. In classified as eutrophic mesoeutrophic based calculated three indices. This would help developing strategy dealing blooms, reliable system monitoring pressures causing eutrophication, optimal technologies reconstruction multifunctional reservoirs.

Stakeholder engagement (SE) has become a core practice for natural resource management. However, little is known about how interactive relationships between SE components have been considered during dynamic process, compromising our capacity configuration. This study proposes comprehensive 5 P–10 R framework encompassing five (P1-problems, P2-purpose, P3-participants, P4-processes, and P5-products) ten any two components) delineating interactions components. The applied to examine all 1119 S E case studies (n = 1119) on resources management published in Web of Sciences until 2021. Findings suggested that among 561 pairs combinations these components, only 13% were significant. existing knowledge showed polarized pattern either homogenization or dearth, calling more theoretical interdisciplinary research SE.

Abstract Phytoplankton is capable of responding to aquatic conditions and can therefore be used monitor freshwater reservoir water quality. Numerous classification techniques, including morpho-functional approaches, have been developed. This study examined changes in phytoplankton assemblages quality, which were sampled quarterly from July 2018 April 2019. The purpose was contrast the applicability three approaches (functional, morphological-based functional groupings) for understanding spatial seasonal distribution biomass variance groups their driving environmental factors ecological zones Shanxi Reservoir through multivariate analysis. results showed that highest watercourse zone lowest transition zone. Furthermore, characterized by several cyanobacteria (Microcystis spp.) numerous bacillariophytes (Asterionella sp., Navicula spp. Aulacoseira granulata). After evaluating advantages disadvantages classifications, we determined temperature appeared an essential factor, morphology-based group approach provided best demonstrating succession, despite having lower sensitivity than others. Nevertheless, these are all appropriate identifying monitoring community structure systems reservoirs with complex terrains.
