Freshwater ecosystems are among the most susceptible to biological invasions. The South American Ludwigia hexapetala is an aquatic plant that becoming increasing threat in many European waterbodies, recently including Italy. This study aimed define main parameters influencing early colonization stage of L. by overlapping percentage cover this species with environmental parameter data collected at 24 sites from six waterbodies north-central At each site, chemical and physical characteristics water (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, nitrates, phosphates, ammonia, depth, transparency), grain size substrate level anthropogenic disturbance were evaluated. results showed although prefers shallow, warm, alkaline, moderately rich ions nutrients (especially phosphates) oxygen-poor waters, it can grow a wide range conditions. Given the high number of non-native plants that are being introduced worldwide and time required to process formal pest risk analyses, a framework for prioritization management actions is urgently required. We therefore propose replicable standardized (eradication, control monitoring) invasive plants, combining expert knowledge, current future climatic suitability estimated by species distribution models (SDMs), clustering ordination techniques. Based on consultation using Italy as case study, plant were selected three categories identified: eradication, containment, monitoring. Finally, two further classes priorities proposed each actions: "high" "low" priority. Overall, SDMs highlighted very Continental Mediterranean bioregions most plants. Cluster analysis revealed distinct clusters with varying levels Italian bioregions. 1 exhibited higher across all bioregions, whereas grouped in 2 predominantly featured areas. 3 showed lowest values. Two variability bioclimatic within cluster, well their pattern. Lastly, third ordination, integrating spatial patterns, has allowed differentiation at both national bioregional scales. The tradition of floristic studies in Italy has made it possible to obtain a good knowledge plant diversity both on national and regional scale. Abstract An updated checklist of the Calabrian alien vascular flora is presented. By way field, bibliographic, and herbarium research, we recorded 382 taxa (representing almost 14% all regional flora), which 371 are angiosperms, nine gymnosperms, two ferns. In relation to state spread, majority species casual (207 taxa; 54%), followed by naturalized (127; 33%) invasive (48; 13%), these last include four on list Union Concern, sensu Regulation (EU) no. 1143/2014. The most represented families Asteraceae (39 taxa) Poaceae (39). Among genera, Amaranthus (nine taxa), Prunus , Euphorbia Oxalis (seven make up those with greatest number taxa. Remote Sensing (RS) is a useful tool for detecting and mapping Invasive Alien Plants (IAPs). IAPs on dynamic heterogeneous landscapes, using satellite RS data, not always feasible. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) with ultra-high spatial resolution data represent promising detection mapping. This work develops an operational workflow Acacia saligna invasion along Mediterranean coastal dunes. In particular, it explores tests the potential of RGB (Red, Green, Blue) multispectral (Green, Red, Red Edge, Near Infra—Red) UAV images collected in pre-flowering flowering phenological stages A. saligna. After ortho—mosaics generation, we derived from DSM (Digital Surface Model) HIS (Hue, Intensity, Saturation) variables, calculated NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index). For classifying two built set raster stacks which include different combination variables. image classification, used Geographic Object-Based Image Analysis techniques (GEOBIA) Random Forest (RF) classifier. All classifications information (collected combinations variables) produced maps acceptable accuracy values, higher performances classification period images, especially + combination. The adopted approach resulted efficient method early IAPs, also complex environments offering sound support to prioritization conservation management actions claimed by EU IAS Regulation 1143/2014.
