Crop straw returning to the field is an effective practice for utilization improve soil fertility and sustain crop productivity. However, little information available about long-term effects of paddy return on properties rice yield under a double-rice system. The objectives this study were test hypothesis different amounts returned physicochemical yield, clarify correlation between as well quick-acting nutrients straw-returning modes. experiment, initiated in 2005 season, utilized “Xiang 45” 13” long-grained cultivars within double-season cropping Three treatments implemented: rotary tillage with full incorporation (RTS), one-third (1/3RTS), two-thirds (2/3RTS). This found that among three rates, 2/3RTS had most significant impact properties. Soil nitrogen content was identified crucial factor influencing organic carbon (SOC) accumulation, while pH levels significantly affected yield. Straw effectively increased stocks SOC.
