Microplastics
(MPs)

Plastic
particles
of
microscopic
scale
are
present
in
the
aquatic
environment,
especially
at
lower
trophic
levels
where
number
microplastics
(MPs)
ingested
per
gram
wet
weight
is
greater
than
higher
levels.
The
presence
water
bodies
caused
by
anthropogenic
activities
and
waste
disposal
negligence
such
as
waste,
waters,
industry,
agriculture,
fishing,
ship
traffic,
environmental
factors,
which
have
been
monitored
remote
locations
bioindicators
tracking
tools
numerical
modeling
life
cycle
inventories.
Our
review
process
shows
that
more
studies
conducted
northern
hemisphere,
most
analyzed
MPs
either
Polyethylene
(PE),

(PP),

Polystyrene

Moreover,

papers
report
potential
adverse
effects
on
biota
can

Thus,

reduce

suggest
research

Microplastics
(MPs)─i.e.,
