Anthropogenic
pollution
has
a
huge
impact
on
the
water
quality
of
marine
ecosystems.
Heavy
metals
and
antibiotics
are
anthropogenic
stressors
that
have
major
effect
health
organisms.
Although
heavy
also
associate
with
volcanic
eruptions,
wind
erosion
or
evaporation,
most
them
come
from
industrial
urban
waste.
Such
contamination,
coupled
to
use
subsequent
misuse
antimicrobials
in
aquatic
environments,
is
an
important
stress
factor
capable
affecting
communities
ecosystem.
Bivalves
ecological
components
oceanic
environments
can
bioaccumulate
pollutants
during
their
feeding
through
filtration,
acting
as
environmental
sentinels.
