Microplastics (MPs) were considered as emerging pollutants in soil. Cadmium (Cd) is the typical heavy metal contaminant paddy soil China. It was not unraveled that effects of existence MPs on properties and Cd adsorption after rice growth soil, one most important types In this study, several dosage 0.5% (w/w) with different particle sizes, including polyethylene (PE, 200μm), polyacrylonitrile (PAN, terephthalate (PET, 200 10μm), selected aged for a season (∼6 months) by column experiments. Some essential physicochemical collected from treatments performance contaminants (cadmium, Cd) coexisting compared. The results indicated 6-month 200μm increased water content (15.94% to 26.08-30.30%), pH value (7.05 7.16–7.33), organic matter (OM) (15.1 gkg −1 18.2–22.9 −1), percentage sand capacity whereas decreased cation exchange (CEC), clay silt. experiments showed behavior consistent pseudo-second order Langmuir isotherm model, addition would increase Besides, size found be dominant factors, which smaller (10μm) favored content, pH, OM CEC, Cd. study could provide supplemental understanding effect input ecosystem, bioavailability transport

Anthropogenic pollution has a huge impact on the water quality of marine ecosystems. Heavy metals and antibiotics are anthropogenic stressors that have major effect health organisms. Although heavy also associate with volcanic eruptions, wind erosion or evaporation, most them come from industrial urban waste. Such contamination, coupled to use subsequent misuse antimicrobials in aquatic environments, is an important stress factor capable affecting communities ecosystem. Bivalves ecological components oceanic environments can bioaccumulate pollutants during their feeding through filtration, acting as environmental sentinels. However, affect several physiologic immunological processes, including microbiome. In fact, potential select resistance genes bacteria, those part microbiota bivalves, such Vibrio spp. Worryingly, antibiotic-resistant phenotypes been shown be more tolerant metals, vice versa, which probably occurs co- cross-resistance pathways. this regard, crucial role metal spread mobile element-mediated antibiotic suggested. Thus, it might expected associated bivalves would higher contaminated environments. review, we focused co-occurrence addition, explore Chilean situation respect contaminants described above, focusing main bivalves-producing region for human consumption, considering vehicles humans ingestion seafood.
