Abstract The construction industry is a major user of non-renewable energy and contributor to emission greenhouse gases, thus requiring achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Indeed, activities account for 36% global consumption 39% dioxide emissions. Reducing requires adapted government policies, analysis calculation models, sustainable materials. Here, we review green with focus on history, emissions, life cycle assessment, materials such as biochar, bioplastic, agricultural waste, animal wool, fly ash self-healing concrete. To mitigate climate warming, many countries have committed to achieve carbon neutrality in the mid-21st century. Here, we assess global impacts of changing greenhouse gases (GHGs), aerosols, and tropospheric ozone (O3) following a pathway on extreme weather events individually using Community Earth System Model version 1 (CESM1). The results suggest that future aerosol reductions significantly contribute warming increase frequency intensity weathers toward far outweigh those GHGs O3. It reverses knowledge dominate changes as predicted middle road pathway. Therefore, substantial O3 are necessary reach 1.5 °C target harmful effects concomitant under future.

The design and synthesis of porous carbons for CO2 adsorption have attracted tremendous interest owing to the ever-soaring concerns regarding climate change global warming. Herein, first time, nitrogen-rich carbon was prepared with chemical activation (KOH) commercial melamine formaldehyde resin (MF) in a single step. It has been shown that porosity parameters as-prepared were successfully tuned by controlling activating temperature adjusting amount KOH. Thus, N-rich shows large surface area 1658 m2/g high N content 16.07 wt%. Benefiting from unique physical textural features, optimal sample depicted uptake up 4.95 3.30 mmol/g at 0 25 °C under 1 bar pressure. More importantly, adsorbents show great selectivity over N2 outstanding recyclability, which prominently important capture flue gases practical application. An in-depth analysis illustrated synergetic effect properties nitrogen decoration mainly determined performance. However, play more role than functionalities deciding uptake. In view cost-effective synthesis, activity, capacity together good selectivity, this advanced approach becomes valid convenient fabricating highly efficient adsorbent separation gases.
