The world is plagued by difficult problems such as ecological degradation and resource depletion. This study utilizes data from 664 Shanghai Shenzhen A-share listed enterprises in the heavy pollution industry 2007 to 2019; this paper constructs a two-way fixed effects panel model mediated effect test relevant of local government environmental target constraints (LGETCs) on performance (HPEs). main findings are follows: First, LGETCs significantly inhibit short-term HPEs. Second, have heterogeneous impact HPEs based regional, industry, firm ownership differences. sentence suggests that targets can exert restraining heavily polluting companies influencing factors financial constraints, agency costs, levels technological innovation. Improving the residents’ health is an important strategy for addressing declining population dividend in China under new development paradigm. Based on panel data of 290 prefecture-level cities from 2010 to 2021, this paper uses environmental tax as a quasi-natural experiment, and adopts DID model explore impact market-based regulation health. The results show that implementation can significantly reduce mortality rate, indicating enhancement outcomes. With the continuous acceleration of urbanization, air pollution has become an increasingly serious threat to public health. Strengthening detection and control pollutants a focal point in current society. In light increasing amount literature field with every passing year, numerous reviews have been compiled; however, only limited number employ bibliometric methods comprehensively review summarize research trends this field. Herein, study utilizes two analysis tools, namely, CiteSpace (6.1.R6) VOSviewer (1.6.20), conduct visual comprehensive spanning 2000 2023. By doing so, it establishes knowledge framework for on control. Simultaneously, collaborative network analysis, reference co-citation keyword co-occurrence prominence are employed undertake exhaustive profound examination within domain. Results indicate that, over time, relevant papers exponentially increased, while interdisciplinary cooperation gradually formed. Additionally, describes key areas research, including residue treatment, regional joint control, mechanism analysis. Finally, challenges faced by researchers their different perspectives discussed.
