This study investigates the impact of Ukraine-Russia conflict on energy cycles by extending a business cycle-based approach in sector. We employ Markov Switching Bayesian Vector Autoregressive (MS-BVAR) model to derive filtered probabilities that represent cycles. By utilizing Russia Economic Policy Uncertainty Index and dummy variables derived from Google search data as indicators, we conduct regression analysis examine generalized impulse response function assess effects Our research reveals notable differences renewable fossil price The cycle exhibits greater persistence, indicating limited shock. Abstract Against the dual backdrop of China vigorously promoting high-speed railways (HSR) construction and establishing an ecological civilization system, HSR as urban transportation infrastructure, is currently gaining growing attention from academic community due to its environmental benefits well effects in energy conservation emission reduction. In this context, research treats initiation a quasi-natural experiment, meanwhile empirically examining effect on structure restructuring exploring micro-level channels through which it operates. Empirical evidence on renewable energy (RE) deployment remains controversial, and little consensus exists how empirical determinants can shape a country's transition to low-carbon economy. Using sample of 38 countries from 2002 2020, we apply nonlinear panel data modeling, where the process be properly treated. Our results indicate prominent role geopolitical risk in influencing use RE, depending level gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. Richer have greater capacity develop clean technologies times uncertainty; however, with fewer resources bear costs, RE sector low-income appears more vulnerable adverse events.

Our findings, derived both quantitative qualitative analysis relevant literature, reveal several key insights.
