This work aimed at optimizing the preparation of activated carbon (AC) from Kraft lignin for adsorption methylene blue (MB) and amoxicillin (AMX) water. A full factorial design three factors (precursor:activating agent (H3PO4) ratio, pyrolysis temperature, residence time) two levels was used to optimize AC production. Eight products were obtained evaluated considering following responses: product yield, specific surface area (SBET), energy consumption, adsorptive removal contaminants under study. The produced presented satisfactory SBET, ranging between 750 1335 m2 g−1, efficient MB AMX water, achieving up 99% studied experimental conditions (100 mg L−1 solution material dose 1 g L−1). Statistical analysis showed that yield consumption production influenced by temperature time. determination a desirability function indicated precursor/H3PO4 ratio 1:2, 700 °C, time 60 min as optimal conditions. optimized SBET g−1 maximum capacity 210 280 AMX, respectively.
