Abstract Firms can achieve trinomial sustainability goals if they constantly build and rejuvenate their capabilities to adapt new situations. However, few studies consider the interrelationships between distinct pertinent sustainable development impact of these on firm performance under diverse contexts, especially in emerging economies. Drawing dynamic capability theory, we developed a model test links capability, theorized as higher order relational managerial capabilities, lower firm's performance.
