Microalgae demonstrate significant efficacy in wastewater treatment. Anaerobic digestion effluent (ADE) is regarded as an underutilized resource, abundant carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and other nutrients; however, the presence of inhibitory factors restricts microalgal growth, thereby preventing its direct treatment via microalgae. The purpose this study was to dilute ADE using various dilution media subsequently cultivate Chlorella sp. identify optimal culture conditions that enhance biomass water quality. effects were assessed by evaluating biomass, sedimentation properties, nutrient removal efficiencies results increases ratio increased. microalgae treatments diluted with simulated significantly higher than deionized water, but their quality failed meet discharge standards. for 10 times exhibited microbial strong antioxidant properties. corresponding total phosphorus concentration (6.96 mg/L) adhered emission limits under Livestock Poultry Industry Pollutant Emission Standards (8 mg/L), while ammonia nitrogen (90 near compliance (80 mg/L). a sludge volume index (SVI30) 72.72 mL/g, can be recovered economically efficiently simple precipitation. Its high protein (52.07%) carbohydrate (27.05%) content, coupled low ash (10.75%), makes it promising candidate animal feed fermentation. This will aid understanding growth unsterilized establish theoretical foundation cost-effective purification production.

Abstract Produced water (PW) from oil and gas exploration adversely affects aquatic life living organisms, necessitating treatment before discharge to meet effluent permissible limits. This study first used activated sludge pretreat PW in a sequential batch reactor (SBR). The pretreated then entered 13 L photobioreactor (PBR) containing Scenedesmus obliquus microalgae culture. Initially, 10% of the mixed with 90% culture PBR. After exponential growth microalgae, an additional 25% was added PBR without extra nutrients. reported performance as well reduction effluent’s total organic carbon (TOC), dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), heavy metals content. results demonstrated removal efficiencies 64% for TOC, 49.8% TDS, 49.1% EC. also showed reductions barium, iron, manganese by 95, 76, 52%, respectively.

The rice–fish co-culture is an important model of carp farming in China; however, research on the dynamics and assembly water bacterial communities this system remains limited. Therefore, study aimed to explore communities, as well their correlation with environmental factors paddy water. For these purposes, was divided into two groups: a rice–carp (WRC) group rice monoculture (WRM) group, 20 fields each group. After 60 days farming, concentrations NH4+-N, NO2−-N, TN, PO43− were significantly higher WRC than those WRM Alpha diversity analysis showed that Shannon index decreased compared At phylum level, relative abundance Actinobacteria increased, while Proteobacteria Bacteroidetes neutral community (NCM) indicated random process played dominant role construction groups, common cultivation increased migration rates, thereby affecting assembly. co-occurrence network displayed led looser interactions between communities. In addition, contents nutrients affected bacteria summary, changed bacteria, stability

Desalination concentrate (DC) is a residue from desalination plants in semiarid regions, and it promising for microalgae cultures. Its effects have been evaluated previsions study involving Spirulina sp. LEB 18 cultures grown medium containing 100% DC, supplemented with 25% Zarrouk nutrients, without reuse. In the present study, was cultivated recycled saline previous experiment over three consecutive cycles using raceways. The DC achieved maximum biomass production of 3.77 g·L−1, surpassing control (3.45 g·L−1), demonstrated high resistance to elevated environmental temperatures, reaching 42.80 °C. Protein levels (≤37%) all essential amino acids (~40% total proteins) fatty relevant impacts on health were reached. Using up cultivation can contribute valorization this add viability regions adequate nutritional composition supplementation humans animals.
