Nonpoint source (NPS) pollution has emerged as the predominant water environment issue confronting plateau lakes in central Yunnan. Quantitative analysis of impact NPS on quality constitutes key to preventing and controlling pollution. However, currently, there is a dearth research identifying risks exploring their relationship with based Minimum Cumulative Resistance (MCR) model lake basins Particularly, studies spatial heterogeneity from multi-scale perspective are scarce. Therefore, this study focuses three typical Central Yunnan Plateau–Fuxian Lake, Xingyun Qilu Lake (the Three Lakes). Utilizing MCR identify risks, analyzes seven different scales, including sub-basins, riparian buffer zones (100 m, 300 500 700 1,000 m) lakeshore zones, reveal effects through correlation analysis. Collecting urban solid waste (USW) is a critical and essential phase for proper management valorization. To date, many data are available large cities, but few studies have focused on low-density areas, such as mountainous regions. Considering this lack in the literature, study aimed to compare two separate collection systems valleys terms of effectiveness GHG emissions. In the area of Solid Waste Management, transportation collected waste is a critical aspect considering substantial time spent by garbage trucks on public roads. Studies have reported that transporting has challenges related to exposure and aesthetics. This study presents generalised bi-objective formulation for optimal routing from transfer stations recycling sites/landfills trade-off between aesthetic loss constraining operating cost. The uses novel link capacity function account delay at traffic signals mix cars performance. proposed solved using weighted sum ε-constraint methods applied realistic case City Chicago, USA. Pareto Front obtained offers diverse solutions catering distinct performance metrics. results highlight disparity across solutions; solution (P0.95 Front) minimum cost (or travel or distance travelled) very different (P0.4 exposure. parametric indicated modest budget may suffice achieving benefits, but minimising requires higher budget.
