Abstract Despite the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, country has begun its recovery process. The renovation should be line with principles of energy efficiency and decarbonisation, an emphasis on use renewable sources. study aims to identify most suitable locations for establishing solar power stations Ivano-Frankivsk region using GIS software. It also provides a cartographic model showing suitability different areas local communities, providing valuable information potential investors. calculation process was carried out QGIS, incorporating environmental, technical economic factors, resulted development conclusive map. primary assessment photovoltaic conducted communities within region. promising potential, estimated over 50 MW, were ranked according their plants.
