Emerging contaminants includes diverse types of synthetic or natural chemical compounds which are not detected, monitored, controlled in the environment regularly and released from anthropogenic activities. Substantial quantities emerging can be found wastewater, originating agro-industrial industrial outlets, containing oil grease, heavy metals, harmful chemicals. Different species microalgae applied biological remediation such wastewater. This research emphasizes multifaceted roles wastewater treatment context pollutants, especially removal contaminants. A comprehensive overview different contaminant processes was conveyed through an in-depth examination depiction uptake mechanisms employed by this review. The final section review focuses on articulation difficulties prospects for future microalgae-based technology.
