Abstract From the perspective of policy embeddedness, this paper explores effect local green financial support policies (LGFP) on transformation (GT) enterprises in China. We constructed a novel database covering 278 prefectures to analyze impact LGFP firms' GT, proposing three theoretical mechanisms: alleviating corporate financing constraints, reducing information asymmetry, and enhancing technology (FinTech). The empirical results indicate that significantly promotes technological innovation (GTI), particularly among heavy-polluting industries, state-owned (SOEs), firms regions with stringent environmental regulations (ER) lower marketization levels. Mechanistic analysis reveals facilitates GTI by easing constraints mitigating asymmetry. Additionally, FinTech amplifies positive GTI. This enriches application embeddedness theory context finance management, offering practical insights for policymakers pursuing sustainable development.

Gross ecosystem product (GEP) refers to the direct measurement of a region's supply capabilities and basis for value realisation. China has made clear arrangements establishing GEP assessment regulations, with 36 districts counties currently conducting assessment, which 24 have executed dual assessments regional gross domestic (GDP) GEP. To explore influence on common prosperity urban rural regions, this study conducts quasi-natural experiment using staggered difference-in-differences model examine data from 1946 2012 2022. The results reveal that can significantly reduce urban-rural income gap improve residents' income, thereby realising prosperity. Further analysis indicates promotes faster growth residents narrowing between through enhanced government attention, fiscal support, green finance, agricultural development. impact is obviously heterogeneous. ability promote stronger in key ecological function areas, strong capacity high public environmental concern. This confirms positive role increasing advancing also provide decision-making reference expedient implementation assessment.

Digitization plays a vital role in fostering economic and social development. This study empirically investigates the impact of digitization on urban industrial structures, technological innovation, public service levels, social–ecological resilience. Various approaches, including two-tier stochastic, spatial econometric, panel threshold models, have been employed to analyze data from 287 cities 2008 2023. These are examined through quasi-natural experiment analyzing evolution resilience following China’s promotion national comprehensive pilot zone for big data. The findings as follows. (1) positive effects ecological substantially outweigh negative effects, with an overall increasing trend net effect, albeit significant regional differences. (2) Digitalization exhibits spillover enhancing local while inhibiting improvements neighboring cities. (3) Technological innovation levels positively affect resilience, whereas structure upgrading has indirect effect. Both demonstrate nonlinear under constraints intermediary mechanism. (4) In terms policy mechanisms, differences structure, capacity, must be considered. approach is essential promoting organic integration across regions, mitigating polarization diffusion

The digital economy, emerging as a new energy source, is driving the transition to green and sustainable urbanization through its significant enabling effects. While economy enhances productivity, replaces traditional energy, has potential transform production models, further investigation needed understand impact on reducing industrial hazards. This article addresses this gap by acknowledging transformative of technologies economic activities, based latest expanded EKC theory. study highlights efficiency digitalization crucial mechanism for It also wealth effect associated with that may increase pollution, thereby expanding Environmental Kuznets Curve Theory. The role of digital economy (DE) in improving urban ecological development (UED) has attracted scholarly attention. Additionally, traditional causal inference models encounter several challenges, such as model misspecification and the “curse dimensionality.” In response to these problems, double machine learning method is applied assess effect DE on UED. Leveraging data from 282 Chinese cities 2006–2021, valuable conclusions emerge. First, improves UED positively contributes resilience recovery. Second, promoting green innovation, enhancing environmental efficiency, optimizing industrial structures are pathways through which Third, influence displays heterogeneity. Based results, this work proposes relevant recommendations grounded empirical research.
